Under the new contract, coach Shin Tae-yong will lead the Indonesian team until 2027.

Sharing after agreeing to sign a contract extension until 2027, coach Shin Tae-yong hopes fans will continue to support Indonesian football.
Coach Shin Tae-yong has led the Indonesian football teams since January 2020. However, the Korean "strategist" has only truly achieved success with Indonesian football in the past 2 years.
He helped U23 Indonesia win the bronze medal at the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam, and helped the Indonesian team reach the final of the 2020 AFF Cup in Singapore the same year.
Recently, he also helped the Indonesian team to participate for the first time in the third qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup in Asia. This is also the most important arena for Indonesia in the near future when they are in the same group with Japan, Australia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the Chinese team.
According to Bola, coach Shin Tae-yong's salary in the new contract is expected to increase significantly compared to the current figure of 1.5 million USD/year. In the most recent contract extension, the coach born in 1970 also received a salary increase from 800,000 USD to 1.5 million USD/year.
