The project of linking production and consumption of high-quality rice products is implemented in 4 communes with an area of 21.8 hectares in Ha Tinh city, starting to sow from the spring crop of 2024.
The project is implemented in Dong Mon, Thach Ha, Thach Binh communes and Dai Nai ward.
The People's Committee of Ha Tinh city has just issued a decision approving the project of linking production and consumption of agricultural products. Accordingly, the project will deploy production and consumption of high-quality rice products in the communes of Dong Mon, Thach Ha, Thach Binh and Dai Nai ward. The implementation period is 3 years (2023 - 2026) with an area of 21.8 hectares, 2 crops per year.
The project aims to promote the application of science and technology, bring mechanization into rice production; apply new technology in varieties, bring high-yield and high-quality varieties into production; link production in the chain to ensure sustainability, and improve production efficiency.
The project's target is to achieve an average yield of 4.8 tons/ha/crop, rice output of 188 tons and post-harvest by-products of 9,500 rolls of straw. The success of the project also creates the premise to expand the scale of production linkages, while contributing to the mechanization of all stages of over 100% of the rice-growing area in the city.
The project is led by Dong Tien Agricultural Cooperative (Ha Tinh City), in association with 5 households to produce high-quality rice products. The project will invest in building a system of factories, seedling production houses; tray systems, seedling production lines; transplanting machines, combine harvesters, straw rollers and other types of machinery, vehicles and equipment to ensure the scale of the project.
Dong Tien Agricultural Cooperative provides seedlings through tray-planting and machine-planting services and input services (tray-planting, machine-planting, harvesting rice and straw by-products according to the scale and area in the contract signed between the participating parties); materials, plant protection drugs; training on technical processes, monitoring, pest control and product consumption at the end of the season. The project is implemented according to VietGap process.
The total implementation cost is more than 2.4 billion VND, of which the provincial and municipal budget supports more than 711.3 million VND, the remaining amount is implemented by the participating parties (of which, the capital of the joint venture leader is 1.016 billion VND including investment in infrastructure, machinery and production costs for each year; the capital of the participating parties is nearly 700 million VND including investment costs for production for each year). Regarding the implementation roadmap, from November to December 2023, the project will complete investment in infrastructure, some machinery and equipment, and prepare conditions to start production from the spring crop of 2024. The project's effectiveness will be evaluated at the end of 2026. |
