(To Quoc) - On October 26, the Department of Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that tourism revenue in the past 10 months is estimated at nearly 15.4 trillion VND, reaching nearly 93.4% of the yearly plan; the number of tourists increased by more than 20% over the same period.

According to the Department of Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, it is estimated that by the end of October, the whole province welcomed more than 14.4 million visitors for sightseeing, entertainment, swimming and relaxation, reaching 92.76% of the yearly plan, up 20% over the same period. The total number of guests staying was 4,475,045, reaching 93.37% of the yearly plan, up 16.99% over the same period. Revenue was estimated at VND15,397 billion, reaching 93.37% of the yearly plan, up 21% over the same period. Of which, revenue from tourist accommodation establishments was about VND5,505 billion, reaching 94.09% of the yearly plan, up 18.48% over the same period.
To continue attracting tourists in the low season at the end of the year, the tourism sector of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province will implement a tourism stimulus program and a list of tourist areas, destinations, tours, and routes in the area in the direction of reducing prices but not reducing service quality and giving away many additional services. According to Director of the Department of Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province Trinh Hang, there are 34 accommodation establishments and service businesses launching promotional programs for room rates, food services, hall rental prices, and discounts on services included in the tour program from 10% to 65%.
According to Mr. Hoang Ngoc Linh, Vice Chairman of the Tourism Association of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, the basic stimulus programs will last until the end of 2024, but many establishments will continue to implement them until February 2025 or later. Many hotels and resorts have adjusted the discount level deeper than the announced stimulus program, with special flexible discounts for regular guests and traditional partners...
On this occasion, the Department of Tourism of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province also announced 230 destinations and 54 tourist tours, including 12 tours serving cruise tourists. The tourist areas and spots are spread throughout the province, of which Vung Tau city and Xuyen Moc district have the most with 40 and 39 areas and spots capable of receiving and serving tourists. Traditional craft villages in particular can develop community tourism models concentrated in Ba Ria (Hoa Long wine-making village), Dat Do (Phuoc Hoi yam cooperative), Long Dien (An Ngai rice paper village).
