On the afternoon of February 6, in Hanoi, the Executive Committee of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations (Party Committee) for the 2020-2025 term held the first (expanded) Executive Committee Conference.
Comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations (Party Committee), President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Party Central Committee member, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President - General Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Comrade Tran Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee chaired the Conference.
Attending the Conference were comrades of the Party Executive Committee, comrades who are Secretaries of Party Committees, grassroots Party cells under the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and Central organizations.
At the Conference, Comrade Tran Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, disseminated the Politburo's Decisions: Decision on the establishment of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations; Decision on appointing personnel to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations for the 2020-2025 term; Decision on the functions, tasks, and organizational structure of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations.
Accordingly, the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations include Party organizations in the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and mass organizations at the Central level assigned tasks by the Party and the State, and specialized advisory and support agencies, and specialized agencies of the Youth Union of the Party Committee.
The Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central mass organizations have the function of comprehensively leading the implementation of political tasks, organizational work, personnel work, Party building work, organization building and mass work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, socio-political organizations, and mass associations at the Central level assigned by the Party and State.
The Party Executive Committee consists of 29 comrades; the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations for the 2020-2025 term consists of 12 comrades. Comrade Do Van Chien, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central Mass Organizations for the 2020-2025 term.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President - General Secretary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee was appointed to hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; Comrade Tran Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc was appointed to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee.
The conference discussed the following drafts: Proposal on the establishment of subordinate Party Committees; Proposal on the promulgation of the Working Regulations of the Party Executive Committee, and assignment of tasks to Party Executive Committee members.
Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Do Van Chien, Party Secretary and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee affirmed that the content of the Politburo's Decision on the establishment of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central mass organizations marks a new turning point, a new stage when implementing the summary of Resolution 18-NQ/TW with the spirit of comprehensive leadership of political tasks for the country to enter a new era, an era of national growth.
Receiving the opinions of the delegates at the Conference, Comrade Do Van Chien emphasized that, with the motto of "running while lining up" in the spirit of the Politburo and the Secretariat, headed by General Secretary To Lam, the Party organizations under the Party Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Central mass organizations need to urgently grasp and implement the contents of the 3 Decisions of the Politburo and contribute ideas to the Working Regulations of the Party Executive Committee so that the Regulations can be issued soon to ensure effectiveness, science and timeliness.
