On the evening of May 19, in Hanoi, the Conference on Logistics Coordination to Protect Sea and Island Sovereignty between the Navy and the Coast Guard Command took place under the co-chair of Colonel Nguyen Duy Thieu, Chief of Navy Logistics, and Colonel Le Dong Thuy, Chief of Coast Guard Logistics.
The conference was held to unify the work of ensuring timely and adequate logistics for forces on duty when situations arise.
The requirements are: Strictly implement regulations on military secrets; specifically and clearly coordinate the responsibilities of the parties involved; properly implement regulations on security coordination work.
At the conference, based on the scenarios that have been developed, delegates actively discussed and agreed on the following contents: Scope of assurance; time and location of assurance; decentralization and organization of assurance coordination; system of documents in the process of implementing assurance coordination... The Navy Logistics Department and the Coast Guard Logistics Department have completed and signed the Plan for organizing coordination of logistics assurance operations to protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands. This is the basis for agencies and units under the Navy and the Coast Guard Command, based on their tasks and functions, to organize tight coordination, actively organize and practice mastering plans, and be ready to fight to firmly protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Safe seafood exploitation combined with protection of sea and island sovereignty
Ba Ria-Vung Tau province has a coastline of more than 305km and a continental shelf of more than 100,000km2; 5/8 districts and cities border the sea. This is also a locality with advantages in developing the marine economy, including seafood exploitation and processing. Currently, the whole province has 4,671 fishing vessels operating regularly. In order for these vessels to exploit seafood safely and sustainably while firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands, the province has synchronously deployed many practical and effective solutions.
Naval Region 3 Command signed regulations on coordination of work in protecting sovereignty over seas and islands in the Central region in 2023.
On the afternoon of April 24, in Da Nang city, the Naval Region 3 Command held a conference to sign the coordination regulations in protecting sea and island sovereignty between the Naval Region 3 Command and the Military Command, Border Guard Command, Public Security of the provinces and cities: Da Nang, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and Border Guard Squadron 48, Border Guard Command.
The Propaganda Department organized a propaganda conference on protecting sea and island sovereignty in the South.
On December 27, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Propaganda Department (General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army) held a conference to propagate the results of protecting sea and island sovereignty and activities to build the "Fund for Vietnam's sea and islands" for the entire army in the Southern region in 2022.
Training to ensure key operations in defense areas of provinces and cities
On May 15, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Cipher Department, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army held the opening ceremony of a training course on ensuring combat ciphers in defense areas of provinces and centrally-run cities and technical, professional and cryptographic management work in 2023.
Improving the quality of training of cyber warfare forces
Thoroughly grasping and implementing resolutions and directives of the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, in recent years, the training work for the cyber warfare force of Command 86 has achieved many important results, meeting the requirements and tasks of protecting the Fatherland on cyberspace in all situations.
