The Academy's Association of Former Teachers organized the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20: "Memories of Teachers"

On the morning of November 14, 2024, the Association of Former Teachers of the Academy of Journalism and Communication organized a program to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, with the theme: "Memories of Teachers". Representing the Academy's leadership, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thanh Giang, Standing Member of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the School Council, and Vice Director of the Academy attended and congratulated the Association.

Attending the Program were: Representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association, the Veterans Association of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and more than 120 members of the Veterans Association of the Academy of Journalism and Communication.

Representative of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of Former Teachers presented flowers to congratulate the Association of Former Teachers of the Academy of Journalism and Communication.

In the solemn atmosphere of the Program, Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Khac Hieu, Chairman of the Association of Former Teachers of the Academy reported on the activities of the Association in 2024 and the direction and tasks in 2025; summarized and reviewed the nearly 20-year journey of establishment and operation of the Association of Former Teachers of the Academy. Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Khac Hieu said that in the past time, the Association of Former Teachers of the Academy has effectively carried out the work of organizing and developing the Association and its members; taking good care of the spiritual and material life, protecting the rights of retired teachers; actively mobilizing teachers to participate in contributing their intelligence and experience, contributing to fundamental and comprehensive innovation of education and training; actively and effectively participating in political - social, social - professional activities, promoting the role of Teachers - Intellectuals - Elderly people in residential areas. “The program is an opportunity for veteran teachers to meet, exchange, and recall memories of their youth when they devoted themselves to the glorious career of educating people. This is also an opportunity for former teachers to express their gratitude to the School - the place that helps us build our careers when we enter life and work; the place that creates opportunities and conditions for each person to grow professionally, progress in expertise, develop society, and build a family home” - Associate Professor, Dr. Luong Khac Hieu emphasized.

Speaking at the Commemoration Program, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thanh Giang, Standing Member of the Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the School Council, Vice Director of the Academy, sent his best wishes to all members of the Academy's Alumni Association on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, acknowledging and affirming the great contributions of the Alumni team to the " Dragon and Man " career of the Academy in recent years. Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thanh Giang was also pleased to report on the outstanding results that the School has achieved in the past time, and at the same time, expressed his hope that in the coming time, the members of the Academy's Alumni Association will continue to promote their minds and qualities as teachers , contribute many valuable experiences, and many practical initiatives to actively contribute to building the Academy's educational career to develop more and more strongly .

At the Commemoration Program, delegates participated in a discussion to review the nation's tradition of "Respecting Teachers" and the origin and meaning of Vietnamese Teachers' Day; to express gratitude to the staff and lecturers who have promoted their intelligence, enthusiasm and efforts for the education and training cause of the School. The special performances to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, staged and performed by the members of the Association themselves at the Exchange Program contributed to making the atmosphere more jubilant and exciting, becoming a playground to express the passion and talent of the members of the Academy's Former Teachers' Association.
