Support 3 disadvantaged students in Huc commune

Continuing the meaningful activities of the program "Quang Tri Newspaper's Compassionate Arms", today, October 8, the Quang Tri Newspaper's Economic Department visited and presented gifts to 3 Van Kieu ethnic minority students with especially difficult circumstances in Huc commune, Huong Hoa district, including: Ho Ai Ho, Ho Van Huu, students of Huc Kindergarten and Ho Thi Ngan, students of Huc Primary School.

At the places visited, representatives of the Economic Department kindly asked about the health and learning situation of the children; at the same time presented gifts including milk, cakes, clothes and 500 thousand VND in cash to each child so that the family and school could have more conditions to take care of the children.

Previously, in the 2023-2024 school year, while working in Huc commune, Quang Tri Newspaper reporters learned about the difficult circumstances of two students, Ho Ai Ho (born in 2020) and Ho Van Huu (born in 2020).

Specifically, Ho Ai Ho is currently living with his grandparents, who are poor households in the locality, because his mother left home when he was less than 3 months old, and his father has no stable job and is often away from home.

Ho Van Huu is the youngest child in a large family; his father is often sick, his mother has no job, and does not have much land for farming. Huu's family is among the poor households in the locality.

Faced with the difficult circumstances of the two children, the Economic Department of Quang Tri Newspaper has sponsored and supported the two children with boarding meals and milk during the 2023-2024 school year with a support level of 500,000 VND/month/child.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the Quang Tri Newspaper Economic Department continues to call for and mobilize more support from kind-hearted individuals to maintain sponsorship and support for the two children Ho Ai Ho and Ho Van Huu to help them have more conditions and health to go to school.

At the same time, we called on benefactors to join hands to support books, school supplies, school uniforms at the beginning of the new school year and a support level of 2 million VND/school year for another case with especially difficult circumstances in Huc commune, Ho Thi Ngan (born in 2018) so that she can have conditions to enter the new school year more fully.

Ngan's family has a father and mother who both have mental illness and are unable to work. Ngan is the youngest of three sisters, and her family is one of the poor households in the locality.

Principal of Huc Kindergarten Nguyen Thi Ha said: “As an area facing many difficulties, the learning and living conditions of students are still very poor. In the past time, the school has received a lot of attention and support. Among them, there is the cooperation and support of the Economic Department of Quang Tri Newspaper. This timely encouragement and support will help the students have more learning conditions.”
