U20 Vietnam lost to U20 Syria
Despite their best efforts, U20 Vietnam unfortunately lost 0-1 to U20 Syria after Ngoc Chien scored an own goal at Lach Tray Stadium (Hai Phong) on the evening of September 29. With this result, Coach Hua Hien Vinh's team can only rely on luck to advance to the 2025 AFC U20 Championship finals.
Evaluating the match, coach Hua Hien Vinh said: "U20 Vietnam only needs one point to advance, so I let the team play defensive counterattacks. After conceding a goal, the team tried to attack but could not score. U20 Vietnam still has a chance but must wait for luck."

"Vietnam U20 wants to win a ticket to the final round of the U20 Asia, so they have to take risks. The players followed the tactics well, but unfortunately in a fixed situation," Coach Hua Hien Vinh regretted.
Coach Hua Hien Vinh affirmed that in this match, the U20 Vietnam midfield did a good job, deploying the ball, rotating and locking down the opponent's midfield. However, what U20 Vietnam needed to do was score a goal, but it did not come.
"Football has wins and losses. I told the players that the road is long and there are still opportunities. This loss is a lesson for me and the players. If we continue, we need to make adjustments to play better," Coach Hua Hien Vinh concluded.
Meanwhile, player Quang Duyet expressed regret: "I am very sorry for this result. The team followed the tactics set by the coaching staff. U20 Vietnam played well in the first half but unfortunately lost in the second half. After conceding the goal, we tried to push up the squad to look for opportunities but could not score."
On the other side of the front line, U20 Syria coach Mohamad Akil was very happy with the victory but also had words of praise for the home team: "U20 Vietnam is well organized, has a good coaching staff, and knows what to do in each match.
We found it difficult to play against U20 Vietnam, but the players were patient and followed the tactics to achieve the final result.

U20 Vietnam has many quality players, but each team has its own strengths. After each match, we have an analysis. In this match, U20 Syria players completed the strategy well. The victory against U20 Vietnam is very important. I want to thank the team for this result.
We not only studied U20 Vietnam on paper but also observed them from the first minutes of the match. We controlled them. I realized that U20 Vietnam has a good defense and can deploy its own style of play. U20 Syria was lucky to succeed. I hope to see U20 Vietnam again in the final round."
