The walking street by Hoan Kiem Lake (Hanoi) becomes different with beautiful and impressive images from the performances, singing and taking photos with people and tourists by soldiers and students from schools in the military industry.
The 80th Anniversary of the People's Army Culture and Arts Exhibition is taking place on Dinh Tien Hoang walking street, Hanoi with many exciting and attractive activities, attracting the attention of tourists when walking around Hoan Kiem Lake. The exhibition was held for the first time to recreate a vivid picture of the image of the "soldiers - artists" of the Vietnam People's Army on the ideological - cultural front of the Party. Many beautiful and touching images from the special cultural and artistic activities taking place here from the evening of December 20 to December 22 include exhibitions of photos, documents, propaganda paintings of military cultural and artistic specialties, performing troupes, soldiers performing collective dances, military music performances, experiential activities, exchange programs with typical artists... The A-shaped bunker model is recreated next to Hoan Kiem Lake. During the resistance war against the US, this bunker was improved by the Vietnamese army and people, used throughout the North and South to protect against bombs, artillery, bullets, becoming a safe shelter when the enemy bombarded and swept. The load-bearing part of the bunker is made of bamboo and wood joined together in the shape of the letter A. The bunker door can be opened to both ends, about 1.2m deep, 1.5m long, 1m wide. Model of Long Bien Bridge and 3 Soviet SAM missiles aided to Vietnam that shot down 3 US B-52 planes during the 12-day and night battle to protect Hanoi's airspace in December 1972. The sovereignty milestone of Truong Sa island is also simulated in real size here, attracting the attention of many tourists. Once again, the image of the Dien Bien Phu victory of the past is recreated on the walking street by Hoan Kiem Lake with cannons, bicycles... During the Dien Bien Phu campaign, the bicycle was the main means of transporting weapons and food to the battlefield. Each trip could carry 200 - 300kg. Of the 260,000 laborers nationwide serving the campaign at that time, there were 33,300 frontline laborers with 21,000 bicycles. They were able to bring 25,000 tons of weapons and food to the battlefield, contributing to the earth-shaking victory in 1954. A life-size model of De Castries' bunker was erected near the Pen Tower area of Hoan Kiem Lake. Soldiers from the Signal Corps were tasked with interacting with tourists there. Students in military uniforms from the Military University of Culture and Arts portray the image of Dien Bien soldiers and are ready to take photos with the people. Soldier Le Van Tu, a conscript of the Military Control Guard unit, was tasked with holding a model of a three-pronged bomb and a gun to take photos with people during the event. Within the framework of the 80th Anniversary of the People's Army Culture and Arts Exhibition, children also had the opportunity to mold figures of soldiers under the guidance of the Organizing Committee members.
On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Sy Cuong (Army Officer School 1) and his girlfriend took photos by Hoan Kiem Lake. His fiancee came from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi to play the role of a Southern guerrilla in the art performances on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the People's Army.
