A series of large stocks plummeted, VN-Index fell more than 13 points

NDO - On October 24, after a volatile first half of the morning session, selling pressure increased sharply, causing the market to sink into red, with major indices weakening and plummeting. In particular, a series of large-cap stocks such as: VHM, STB, TBB, VRE, VIC, TCB, VPB... fell sharply. At the end of the session, VN-Index fell 13.49 points to 1,257.41 points.


On the HoSE floor, the matched order value this session increased slightly compared to the previous session, reaching more than 14,082.90 billion VND.

Foreign investors net sold more than 234 billion VND on HoSE. On the buying side, VPB shares were bought the most (89 billion VND), followed by FPT (70 billion VND), VNM (68 billion VND)... On the contrary, HPG shares were sold the most (93 billion VND), followed by VRE (80 billion VND), STB (60 billion VND)...

Today's session, the VN30 group of stocks closed with 6 stocks increasing, 2 stocks remaining unchanged and 22 stocks decreasing.

Of which, VNM increased by 1.63% to 68,400 VND/share. The codes: BCM, BVH, FPT, GAS, VCB increased slightly.

Two stop codes at the reference include: HPG, SSB.

On the other hand, VHM decreased by 6.7% to VND43,850/share, STB decreased by 6.7% to VND33,400/share, TPB decreased by 3.4%, VRE decreased by 2.68%, VIC decreased by 2.66%, TCB decreased by 2.27%, VPB decreased by 2.2%, MBB decreased by 2.18%, GVR decreased by 1.79%, ACB decreased by 1.57%, PLX decreased by 1.3%, POW decreased by 1.22%, MSN decreased by 1.13%, VIB decreased by 1.07%.

The remaining codes: BID, HDB, MWG, SAB, SHB, SSI, CTG, VJC decreased slightly.

In terms of industry groups, steel stocks traded differently. While DTL unexpectedly hit the ceiling price of VND12,900/share, VCA increased by 3.33%, HSG increased by 0.99%, HPG and NKG stopped at the reference price, on the contrary, SMC decreased by 6.7%, TLH decreased by 2.07%, HMC decreased by 1.35%.

In the securities group, only APG increased by 3.48%, DSE stopped at the reference, the rest all decreased. Specifically, AGR decreased by 1.13%, BSI decreased by 2.16%, CTS decreased by 2.9%, FTS decreased by 3.1%, HCM decreased by 2.42%, ORS decreased by 2.76%, SSI decreased by 0.37%, TCI decreased by 0.48%, TVB decreased by 1.23%, TVS decreased by 0.46%, VCI decreased by 2.4%, VIX and VDS both decreased by 1.75%, VND decreased by 2.05%.

Banking stocks were almost completely covered in red. In addition to the codes: ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, VIB in the VN30 group mentioned above, the remaining codes: EIB decreased by 0.93%, LPB decreased by 0.16%, MSB decreased by 3.89%, OCB decreased by 2.13%, NAB decreased by 0.95%.

Real estate stocks closed down. In addition to the Vingroup stocks (VHM, VIC, VRE) mentioned above, CCL decreased by 2.35%, DXG decreased by 2.11%, HQC decreased by 2.48%, SZC decreased by 2.31%, D2D decreased by 1.85%, DIG decreased by 1.43%, DXS decreased by 1.69%, HDC decreased by 1.46%, HTN decreased by 1.42%, KBC decreased by 1.71%, KHG decreased by 1.50%, NBB decreased by 1.91%, NTL decreased by 1.62%....

* The Vietnamese stock market index plunged today, VNXALL-Index closed down 25.46 points (-1.21%), down to 2,084.04 points. Liquidity with trading volume reached 624.02 million units, equivalent to trading value of VND 16,017.92 billion. In the whole market, there were 105 stocks increasing in price, 78 stocks remaining unchanged and 270 stocks decreasing in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 224.69 points, down 1.81 points (-0.80%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 34.59 million shares transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND612.51 billion. The entire floor had 56 stocks increasing, 57 stocks remaining unchanged and 95 stocks decreasing.

The HNX30 index closed down 6.97 points (-1.43%) to 481.39 points. Trading volume reached about 22.85 million units, with a corresponding value of more than VND483.13 billion. The HNX30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 3 stocks increasing, 4 stocks remaining unchanged and 23 stocks decreasing.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index decreased, closing at 92.06 points, down 0.06 points (-0.07%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 27.92 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than 314.01 billion VND. The UPCoM group of stocks ended the trading day with 139 stocks increasing, 86 stocks remaining unchanged and 110 stocks decreasing.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed down 13.49 points (-1.06%) to 1,257.41 points. Liquidity reached over 671.99 billion units, equivalent to a trading value of VND15,934.79 billion. The entire floor had 102 stocks increasing, 52 stocks remaining unchanged and 284 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index decreased by 20.10 points (-1.49%) to 1,329.62 points. Liquidity reached more than 326.62 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND9,727.47 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 6 stocks increasing, 2 stocks remaining unchanged and 22 stocks decreasing.

The 5 stocks with the highest trading volume are VHM (over 33.60 million units), STB (over 32.15 million units), VPB (over 26.04 million units), EIB (over 21.98 million units), TPB (over 18.31 million units).

The 5 stocks with the highest price increase are KHP (6.90%), AGM (6.80%), QCG (6.80%), OGC (6.74%), DTL (6.61%).

The 5 stocks with the biggest price decrease were CCL (-7.78%), TNC (-6.78%), STB (-6.70%), VHM (-6.70%), SMC (-6.70%).

* Today's derivatives market had 234,153 contracts traded, worth more than VND 31,543.36 billion.
