Ham Tan continues to focus on state management of culture, sports, tourism and family in the entire district, while promoting cultural and information activities at the grassroots level...
Looking back at the halfway point of implementing the socio-economic development tasks for the period 2021 - 2025, it can be seen that activities in the field of culture and information in Ham Tan have achieved certain results. Notably, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" continues to be maintained and gradually deepens in the direction of increasingly improving quality. As in the construction of cultural villages and neighborhoods, all 53/53 villages and neighborhoods here have actively registered with the evaluation results in 2021, 50/53 villages and neighborhoods achieved the title, and in 2022, 51/53 villages and neighborhoods achieved the title. The rate of households achieving cultural families in the locality also increased from 92% (in 2021) to 93% (in 2022). In addition, through evaluation in the past two years, an average of about 91.73% of agencies and units met cultural standards compared to the total number of agencies and units in the whole district.
Local cultural and artistic activities have also been focused on, including coordinating with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize a Festival to bring culture to the grassroots in Song Phan commune in 2021. Or coordinating with the Bien Xanh Music and Dance Theater, the Nam Tay Nguyen Art Troupe (Lam Dong province) and the Provincial Mobile Information Team to bring 8 cultural and artistic activities to the grassroots. In the first quarter of 2023 alone, the whole district organized 25 art programs, 2 festival activities to serve political tasks and serve all classes of people... Along with that, the sports movement in Ham Tan area continues to change clearly, through diverse forms of training, contributing to making this activity a need of the majority of people (the rate of people regularly exercising and playing sports reached nearly 44%, while the rate of sports households was 28.7%). It is known that up to now, the whole district has 100% of full-time physical education and sports teachers according to regulations, all schools have practice grounds and are gradually building standard gyms.
Regarding tourism, Ham Tan has so far attracted 18 investment projects with a total area of approximately 775 hectares. However, only 1 project has come into operation (Hodota Co Kim My Nghe project). Therefore, recently, the Department of Culture and Information has advised the District People's Committee to inspect many projects that are slow to implement or have had their land encroached upon, in order to remove difficulties, and at the same time request the project owner to implement the progress as committed. On the other hand, it has also promoted calling for socialized investment in the Community Tourism Site in Pho Tri village - Tan Thang commune, advised and directed the survey and implementation of related tasks to supplement the planning of the Community Tourism Site in Hiep Hoa village - Tan Thang commune as well as calling for investment in the form of socialization...
In the period of 2023 - 2025, the district's functional departments will strengthen state management of culture, sports, tourism, and family in conjunction with promoting cultural and information activities at the grassroots level, especially in ethnic minority and remote areas. Focus on mobilizing all resources to improve infrastructure, creating conditions for people to participate in implementing the goal of "Building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture with strong national identity". Continue to coordinate and invite people to work to promptly grasp the investment progress and advise the District People's Committee to direct relevant units and localities to support and remove difficulties for tourism projects, moving towards implementing investment and putting them into operation.
In addition to organizing the 4th/2022 and 5th/2023 “Book Reading Festival”, in the past time, Ham Tan District Library has also coordinated with the Provincial Library to deploy a “Multimedia Mobile Library” to serve schools. In addition, it has also built a legal bookcase with more than 700 books on laws in many areas of social life, established a Facebook page of the library and introduced the column “A book a day” to viewers...
