The Russian Defense Ministry announced on February 15 that ships of the Pacific Fleet have arrived in Indonesia to participate in the multilateral naval exercise Komodo-2025. The Russian fleet participating in the exercise is commanded by Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Vladimir Vorobyov.

The Pacific Fleet's corvettes Rezkiy and Hero of the Russian Federation Aldar Tsydenzhapov, with support from the medium tanker Pechenga, took part in the exercises.
The Indonesian Defense Ministry announced that the opening exercise on February 16 organized by the Indonesian Navy is expected to have the participation of ships and observers from more than 30 countries.
As part of the Komodo-2025 exercise, sailors from both countries will practice joint group maneuvers, search for submarines, repelling air attacks by a simulated enemy, and ship survival exercises. In addition, bilateral sports and cultural events will also be held.
Last year, Russian Navy ships made more than 50 voyages. In particular, the fleet visited many countries in the Southern Hemisphere, Cuba, India, Venezuela, China and the Middle East.
