The Tam Ky City Red Cross Society visited, encouraged, and provided financial support to help these two foreigners temporarily stabilize their stay in the locality. Both have now left Quang Nam province.
Previously, in early March, in the center of Da Nang City, a Russian male tourist also appeared holding a sign that read: "I am traveling without money. Please support my trip."
This foreign male tourist kept moving, changing positions to beg for money, even asking for money in an area where beggars are prohibited.
"The Russian tourist has a tourist visa in Vietnam until March 14. According to the department's officials, in recent days, this tourist has been begging for money during the day and going to some bars in the area at night. The Department of Tourism's quick response team also asked this person if he needed any assistance, but he said no and then left," a representative of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Da Nang informed.
