Hanoi aims to increase the rate of private educational institutions to 21%

For preschool education, especially in industrial parks, export processing zones, areas with rapid urbanization or areas with rapidly increasing numbers of children of preschool and kindergarten age, strive for the number of private preschool facilities to reach 30%, corresponding to the number of children attending school reaching about 30%.

For general education, the rate of private general education institutions reached 13% and the number of students studying at private general schools reached 15%.

For higher education, improving the scale and training quality of Hanoi University is implemented according to the Project for developing Hanoi University to 2030, with a vision to 2045; planning and investing in the construction and completion of the school's training facilities to meet development requirements in the new period.

For vocational education, strive for the number of private vocational education institutions to reach 50%.

To complete these targets, the City People's Committee has implemented 5 groups of tasks and solutions including: perfecting institutions; improving the investment environment; promoting autonomy for public educational institutions; strengthening conditions for ensuring quality and inspecting educational quality; and continuing to promote information and communication.

The City People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training to take the lead in implementing, inspecting and evaluating the implementation of the above tasks; at the same time, guide and coordinate with the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to review and propose investment and construction needs in accordance with regulations, ensuring balanced development of the public and private school system.

In addition, there are specific solutions to support credit interest rates, support capital for investment in facilities, purchase of equipment, financial support, and organize management and professional training for teachers and educational managers for private educational institutions from local budget sources, in accordance with the budget mobilization capacity and socio-economic development conditions of the locality.
