(Dan Tri) - Dozens of yellow apricot corners and craft village spaces imbued with Vietnamese culture and the old Tet attract locals and tourists to take pictures and have fun during the days before Tet.

On the afternoon of January 24, the 2024 Vietnamese New Year Festival officially opened to welcome visitors to come and check-in at the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House. The festival space here is extended until February 14 (the 5th day of Tet).

The Vietnamese Tet Festival is an annual event that attracts a large number of people and tourists to come and visit because it is decorated with many spaces and miniature landscapes typical of the old Tet, imbued with the culture of the Vietnamese people every time Tet comes and spring comes.

After the program opened, the apricot blossom street area, miniature landscapes, and Tet booths were opened for people to visit and have fun.

This year, the main highlight of the Vietnamese Tet Festival is still the yellow apricot blossom road. This year's apricot blossoms also have many new features, are more neat, and the arrangement is also new. This is a popular area because it is easy to take beautiful photos.

Inside the main campus of the Youth Cultural House, images of the old Tet are recreated, with a three-room house gate, pottery village, flower village, wood stove, etc.

Many young people came to check in right on the opening afternoon. The Vietnamese Tet Festival will be a destination that many young people will visit in the near future because of the beautifully decorated space and many corners for "virtual living". There are also Ao Dai rentals and makeup services for people who come to rent props to take photos.

Adults and children arrived early to wait to check-in and have fun at the festival.

Many Vietnamese artists also wore Ao Dai to take pictures together at Ong Do Street and Mai Street on the opening day of the Vietnamese Tet Festival. "As scheduled, at the end of the year, artists come here to participate in the Vietnamese Tet Festival, to honor the traditional cultural values ​​of Vietnamese Tet. On this occasion, everyone will also wear traditional costumes such as Ao Dai and Nhat Binh to have the most beautiful pictures for the new year," singer Doan Truong shared.

Thanh Thuy (Phu Nhuan District) said that this year there was more space than usual. Thuy arrived at 1pm to prepare and did not forget to choose a traditional Japanese costume to further honor Vietnamese cultural values.

Many stalls sell souvenirs, food, and traditional toys. This is also a popular area for children and families.

The calligraphy booths also welcomed the first customers to ask for calligraphy to pray for peace and fortune in the new year. It is known that this year the number of calligraphers is up to nearly 50 people, compared to only about 30 people in previous years.

Materials used to make miniatures at the Vietnamese Tet Festival are products of traditional craft villages such as conical hats, tiled roofs, fired pottery, firewood, sedge mats, jars, etc. No matter where in the country, people will see the image of their homeland in the festival space.
