The Department of Grassroots Culture (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) has introduced a set of propaganda posters to celebrate the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's call for "Patriotic Emulation" (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2023) on the website http://vhttcs.org.vn/ .

The series of paintings is the result of the Propaganda Painting Contest to celebrate the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2023) for professional and non-professional artists, Vietnamese citizens and overseas Vietnamese.
The contest was launched by the Department of Grassroots Culture in February 2023, attracting about 500 works from nearly 200 authors to compete.
The Arts Council has selected 74 valuable propaganda posters to introduce to the public.
The announcement ceremony of the competition results is expected to take place in June 2023.
The Organizing Committee will award one First Prize worth 15 million VND; two Second Prizes, each worth 8 million VND; three Third Prizes worth 5 million VND each and 10 Consolation Prizes worth 2 million VND each.
There is also a Movement prize worth 8 million VND for the unit with many good authors and works participating in the contest.
The Department of Grassroots Culture will organize large outdoor exhibitions in Nghe An (June 2), Ninh Binh (June 6) and combine award ceremonies and competition summary in Hai Phong (June 9); widely introduce outstanding works directly to the public.
According to regulations, the entries must aim to promote and encourage patriotic emulation movements over the past 75 years, especially the emulation movements of good production and business; the movements of "Elimination of hunger and poverty reduction;" "Repaying gratitude;" "All people unite to build a cultural life;" honoring typical examples of Labor Heroes, People's Armed Forces Heroes, Emulation Fighters...
The entries must promote and encourage new and typical advanced factors in all areas of socio-economic life; build and foster typical advanced models; disseminate experiences and good practices, on that basis summarize and replicate them in the community...
On June 11, 1948, President Ho Chi Minh issued the "Call for Patriotic Emulation," officially launching the patriotic emulation movement across the country.
He pointed out: "Every Vietnamese citizen, regardless of age, gender, rich or poor, big or small, must become a fighter on one front: military, economic, political, cultural."
He called out: "With the indomitable spirit and endless strength of our nation, with the patriotism and determination of our people and army, we can win, we will definitely win."
President Ho Chi Minh's "Call for Patriotic Emulation" has the power to attract, motivate and call upon our entire Party, people and army to promote the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of solidarity, the will of self-reliance and self-strengthening, overcome all sacrifices and hardships, and make great achievements in the cause of gaining national independence and building and developing the country.
