“In the face of the rapid development of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and digital transformation, the change in information access behavior of the reading public, publishers, distributors and publishers need to actively and proactively integrate internationally, strengthen cooperative relationships with international organizations and awards. Bringing award-winning works to participate in international book festivals and international literary awards contributes to enhancing the position of the National Book Award, and at the same time, is a motivation for Vietnamese authors to improve the quality of their own book products.”, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia pointed out. The Organizing Committee said that in 2024, 51/57 publishers have books participating in the Award (10 more publishers than the 6th National Book Award). The number of publications participating in the competition is diverse in theme and form. From 400 works submitted by more than 51 publishing units, the National Book Award Council selected 58 sets of books and good books to award at the 7th National Book Award. Of which, 3 A Prizes belonged to the book "Gia Dinh - Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City: Long Mile of History (1698-2020)" (2 volumes, author: Nguyen Dinh Tu); "Handbook for diagnosis and treatment of internal medicine" (author: Associate Professor, Doctor, Doctor Dao Xuan Co (Editor-in-Chief); "Collection of Military Writers - Proceedings - Works" (5 volumes, Military Literature Magazine). The Organizing Committee also awarded 10 B Prizes, 21 C Prizes and 21 Encouragement Prizes and 4 Readers' Favorite Book Prizes (1 book won 2 Award categories) for the categories: political - economic books, natural sciences and technology, social sciences and humanities, culture - literature and arts, children's books. Here, the Ministry of Information and Communications also awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals who have made outstanding achievements, many innovations and creations in publishing valuable books, positively impacting social life; promoting books, promoting the development of reading culture.
