World oil prices today
World oil prices increased across the board in today's trading session, August 12 (Vietnam time). WTI crude oil was at $77.05/barrel, up $0.21/barrel, or 0.27%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at $76.84/barrel and opened today's session at $77.02/barrel.
Brent crude oil was at $79.80 a barrel, up $0.14 a barrel, or 0.18 percent. Brent crude oil closed the previous session at $79.66 a barrel and opened today at $79.71 a barrel.
According to Reuters, oil prices have made a comeback due to many factors: US oil inventories continue to decrease, the risk of conflict increases in the Middle East and the USD index decreases.
Domestic gasoline prices today
On August 12, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in regions 1 and 2 (46 provinces and cities currently applying) are as follows:
The above domestic retail prices of gasoline and oil were adjusted by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of August 8. Accordingly, RON 95-III gasoline decreased the most, by VND930/liter, followed by E5 RON 92 gasoline, down VND901/liter. The price of fuel oil decreased by VND858/kg, diesel oil decreased by VND737/liter, and kerosene decreased by VND684/liter. This is the fifth consecutive decrease in domestic gasoline and oil prices.
Gasoline discount today
Discount prices of petroleum products today, August 12, at some domestic petroleum dealers are as follows:
Pvoil applies discount rates on August 12: Oil discount 1,350 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,100 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 850 VND/liter. This discount rate is applied at Pvoil Dinh Vu warehouse, Petec An Hai, Cai Lan warehouse.
Tu Luc Petroleum discounts on August 12 as follows: Oil discount: 1,300 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,050 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 800 VND/liter.
MIPEC gasoline discount on August 12: 95-III gasoline: 1,000; E5 gasoline: 800; oil: 1,300 VND/liter
Forecast of domestic gasoline prices next period
According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. It is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, petroleum prices may increase.
Since the beginning of the year, since the price adjustment session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 16 times and decreased 15 times. Oil prices have increased 15 times and decreased 16 times.
