On April 26, the Party Committee, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ward 2 (District 4, Ho Chi Minh City) held a launching ceremony for the "National Flag Road" on Ben Van Don Street. This is an activity within the "National Flag Road" series organized by the District Party Committee's Propaganda Department in coordination with the District Youth Union Standing Committee to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day.

Accordingly, 100 national flags were hung along Ben Van Don street, creating a brilliant flag line.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ward 2 Party Secretary Lam Thanh Liem said that the implementation of the "National Flag Road" aims to arouse patriotism and national pride, creating more urban beauty for the streets.

According to Mr. Liem, in recent times, on major national holidays, about 70%-80% of households in the ward have hung the national flag, however, each house hung it in a different style, so it was not uniform. Therefore, the implementation of this project is important to create uniformity and more aesthetics.

Mr. Liem hopes that the "National Flag Street" on Ben Van Don Street will spread to all streets and alleys in Ward 2. And the goal is that by 2025, when the country celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, the flag hanging will be carried out synchronously throughout the ward.
