Viet Tri City currently has 2 community cultural tourism sites including: Hung Lo community cultural tourism site, Hung Lo commune and Bach Hac community cultural tourism site, Bach Hac ward. This is not only an important highlight in preserving and promoting cultural heritage values, developing tourism but also creating economic value, increasing income, contributing to poverty reduction in the city.
Community tourism can be understood as a tourism model in which the community is the subject providing products and services to tourists and sharing the benefits brought by tourism. Through activities serving tourists such as: Accommodation, dining, experiencing local culture..., community tourism is a unique and attractive tourism product, meeting the increasing needs of tourists.

Nestled along the fertile Lo River, possessing a peaceful village space with an ancient communal house that is over 300 years old and nearly 50 ancient houses from hundreds to several hundred years old is an important highlight on the tourist map at Hung Lo community tourism site. Not only that, coming to Hung Lo, visitors can also immerse themselves in the smooth, lyrical Xoan singing, participate in the stages of making noodles, banh chung, banh da... at the craft village, immerse themselves in the countryside market with familiar, intimate images that are not available anywhere else.
In particular, since 2022, Hung Lo community tourism has been recognized as a 3-star OCOP at the provincial level, contributing to promoting tourism potential and enhancing economic value for the people. The subject of the Hung Lo community tourism OCOP product group is the Hung Lo Community Tourism Service Cooperative Group with 17 participating members, providing community tourism services. The members participating in the cooperative group, providing tourism services, have agreed to operate the service products in parallel with the management of the government, creating economic value, increasing income for members as well as local people.
Comrade La Tien Boong - Vice Chairman of Hung Lo Commune People's Committee said: Since the beginning of the year, Hung Lo community cultural tourism site has welcomed about 111 groups of visitors, including 90 domestic groups with 4,489 visitors and 21 international groups with 348 visitors. Community tourism has contributed significantly to promoting socio-economic development and poverty reduction in the locality. Currently, the whole commune has only 9 poor households, down 1 household compared to 2023 and 3 near-poor households. In the coming time, the commune government will continue to implement the sustainable poverty reduction project, coordinate with the Fatherland Front and the Women's Union to promote propaganda and implement the project to support loans for poor households registering to escape poverty.

Not possessing ancient houses with hundreds of years of age or ancient space of Xoan singing in the communal house yard like Hung Lo, but Bach Hac ward where "three rivers" converge, is famous for its charming river scenery, "on the wharf and under the boat" activities, bustling and bustling trade and business along with a system of temples and pagodas such as Dai Bi Pagoda, Tam Giang Temple and unique and attractive festivals, has long become a spiritual and cultural meeting place for tourists from all over the world and is the first place to welcome international groups of tourists traveling by river on their journey to visit and experience Phu Tho.
With many potentials and advantages, Bach Hac ward was chosen by the Provincial People's Committee to build a destination for community tourism, spiritual culture and agricultural and rural experiences. Since its inauguration, Bach Hac community cultural tourism has developed rapidly, becoming one of the key and unique tourist destinations of the city and the province with exploited tourism products such as spiritual cultural tourism, scenic tourism including: Visiting the architectural complex of the communal house, Tam Giang temple, Dai Bi pagoda, visiting the scenic spot of Hac junction, experiencing traditional festivals of pounding rice cakes, especially the traditional boat racing festival on Lo River, the sacred water procession ceremony at the river junction.
With the goal of economic development towards multi-value integration and sustainable development, Bach Hac ward has fully exploited its available strengths and potentials, proactively mobilizing all resources for investment and development. Every year, Bach Hac community tourism site has attracted tens of thousands of visitors, the people's lives have been increasingly improved, the urban appearance has become more and more prosperous, up to now, the poverty rate has decreased to 0.67%.
Tam Giang Temple and Dai Bi Pagoda (viewed from above) are spiritual tourist destinations for domestic and international visitors.
To develop community tourism, Viet Tri city has focused on mobilizing resources and investing in key areas to develop infrastructure for tourism, ensuring that the community has the right to participate in and benefit from tourism activities, and rationally exploiting tourism resources and landscapes according to the principle of exploitation associated with preserving and promoting traditional culture.
Community tourism has contributed to diversifying tourism types, tourism products and services, improving income as well as material and spiritual life of people, promoting tourism activities in Viet Tri city to develop and gradually realize the goal of building Viet Tri city into a festival city returning to the roots of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
