Leaders of the Department of Transport spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony for the project.
The traffic project connecting National Highway 4B with National Highway 18, invested by the Department of Transport of Lang Son, has a length of more than 10.47 km, starting at km 74+700 in Na Peo village, Bac Lang commune and ending at provincial road 342 of Quang Ninh province.
According to the design, the project is built according to the standards of a grade III mountainous road, with a design speed of 60 km/h, a 9 m wide roadbed cross-section and a 6 m wide road surface, and an asphalt concrete structure.
The project has a land use area of 65.86 hectares, a total investment of more than 338 billion VND using local and central budget capital, and is scheduled to be completed in the period 2023-2026.
After the investment preparation period, the project has met the conditions to start construction of the section from km 0 to km 5 at the starting point of the project route. For the section from km 5 to km 10+47, the investor is currently selecting a contractor and will start construction in June 2023.
This is an important connecting traffic project to strengthen regional connectivity, promote tourism development, attract investment, and transport goods between Lang Son province and Quang Ninh province.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, the leaders of the Department of Transport requested: During the construction process, the Management Board of Construction and Maintenance of Transport Infrastructure and contractors must promote the highest sense of responsibility, mobilize human resources and machinery, develop scientific, detailed and appropriate construction plans and methods to ensure efficiency and quality. In addition, they must strictly comply with technical requirements and legal regulations on project management.
Representatives of the Department of Transport, investors, Dinh Lap District People's Committee and contractors performed the groundbreaking ceremony.
Regarding site clearance, the investor coordinated with the People's Committee of Dinh Lap district to urgently clear the site to promote the construction progress of items according to the design.
During the implementation process, contractors must do a good job of ensuring security, order, environmental sanitation, and labor safety, and maintain good relationships with the authorities and people in the project implementation area.
