(NLDO) – The soaring price of gold on the international market at the beginning of the week has prompted domestic businesses to raise the purchase price of SJC gold bars and gold rings.

On the morning of February 10, the price of SJC gold bars was adjusted by all businesses as the new trading week opened. Gold companies SJC, DOJI, Phu Quy increased the buying price by half a million VND/tael, to 87.3 million VND/tael, while the selling price remained high at 90.3 million VND/tael. Some companies such as Mi Hong sold at a lower price, around 88.7 million VND/tael.

PNJ Company still maintains the buying price of gold bars at 86.8 million VND; while Mi Hong increases the buying price to 87.6 million VND/tael.

The difference between buying and selling prices has narrowed to about 3 million VND/tael. The price of gold bars varies between trading units.

Similarly, the price of 24K gold rings and jewelry gold of all kinds also increased when listed businesses bought at 87.3 million VND/tael and sold at 90 million VND/tael, an increase of 100,000 VND to 500,000 VND per tael compared to yesterday.

On the international market, the precious metal just opened for trading and continued to jump to 2,871 USD/ounce, up about 10 USD compared to the last session of the week, after a series of consecutive days of strong increases.

Both analysts and investors expect gold prices to continue to increase in the coming days, supported by many factors, especially related to US President Donald Trump's tax policy with many trade partners.

In the latest development, Mr. Trump announced that he will impose a 25% tax on all aluminum and steel imports into the country.

This information makes investors continue to seek gold as a safe haven against fluctuations in the international trade situation.

Gold prices are expected to continue to rise to the $2,880/ounce range, but some experts also warn that gold has overheated for many consecutive weeks since the beginning of 2025.

Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 88 million VND/tael.
