After revealing its new smartphone, Huawei continues to attract attention when it is about to launch the smartwatch “Watch Fit 3”. However, images of the design model have made this product commented as “a copy” of the Apple Watch.
Images of the upcoming Huawei watch have been shared on social media.
According to 9to5 , smartwatch designs in the industry are very different. This makes the fact that Huawei's upcoming watch is somewhat "similar" to the Apple Watch even more noticeable.
WinFuture journalist Roland Quandt shared on Twitter/X that the watch has a square shape with thin bezels, rounded corners, and two buttons along the right side - a crown and a physical button. The watch also comes with a strap without traditional clasps. These are also design features of the Apple Watch.
In terms of features, however, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 may be different. Huawei’s “Watch Fit” line focuses on fitness tracking rather than smartwatch tasks. It runs a lightweight version of HarmonyOS, supports a number of apps, tracks fitness and sleep, and sends notifications and calls from your phone. The Huawei Watch Fit 2 is said to last up to 10 days on a single charge.
It's unclear when the Watch Fit 3 will launch, but it likely won't be officially sold in the US market, according to 9to5.
The only way to tell it apart from the Apple Watch is that the Huawei Watch Fit 3 has slightly thicker bezels and a different metal frame, but you have to look closely to see the difference.
"So if you've always wanted a device that looks like an Apple Watch but goes with an Android phone, the Huawei Watch Fit 3 will offer a unique opportunity when it launches in the near future. It was initially rumored that the watch would launch alongside the new Pura 70 smartphone series, but that didn't happen," commented Gsmarena.
