According to the Report of the Center for Communication of Natural Resources and Environment, Natural Resources and Environment Newspaper, Natural Resources and Environment Magazine, in the first 8 months of 2024, with the attention and direction of the Ministry's leaders and the coordination of the units under the Ministry, the units have made efforts to successfully complete the assigned tasks in propagating and disseminating policies and laws on natural resources and environment, and organizing events well. However, there are still some difficulties in organizing the apparatus, funding, and equipment to serve the digital transformation of the press, organizing events to propagate natural resources and environment policies to the masses and people...

Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Hoang Manh Ha, Editor-in-Chief of TN&MT Newspaper, said that in the first 8 months of 2024, TN&MT Newspaper has always received close and timely attention and direction from the Party Committee, the leaders of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment ; effective coordination and support from agencies and units inside and outside the Ministry, and from the Departments of Natural Resources and Environment of provinces and centrally-run cities.

In particular, the Editorial Board of the Newspaper is always innovative, dynamic, creative and proactive in its direction and management, promptly adjusting and supplementing regulations and management rules in accordance with the functions, tasks and characteristics of the journalism profession. Management and operation according to regulations and rules have contributed to bringing the agency's activities into order and efficiency.

According to the Editor-in-Chief of TN&MT Newspaper, in addition to the achieved results, the Newspaper still has some limitations and difficulties due to limited and unstable revenue from ministries and departments outside the Ministry of TN&MT , affecting the unit's operational plans; other revenue sources such as advertising/communication sources... have been deeply cut due to the impact of the prolonged Covid-19 pandemic; meanwhile, starting from July 1, 2024, the minimum basic salary has been increased to VND 2,340,000/person/month. "This is a difficulty and also a challenge for an autonomous agency and unit like TN&MT Newspaper", Mr. Hoang Manh Ha shared.

In addition, the physical facilities and equipment invested by TN&MT Newspaper have mostly been depreciated and some assets have been liquidated. The remaining assets for use are old and very outdated with the development trend of modern journalism and media...

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, Editor-in-Chief of TN&MT Newspaper Hoang Manh Ha said that he will focus on political and ideological work for VCNLD, strictly implement the directives of superiors; focus on strengthening direction, management, and rectifying limitations and shortcomings in press activities.

At the same time, direct affiliated organizations to develop thematic routes, assign implementation to specialized groups by field, improve the quality of content and form of publications, ensure continuous updates of information with high topicality, publish in accordance with the principles and purposes. In particular, information and propaganda on the implementation of the 2024 Land Law, the 2023 Water Resources Law, the draft Law on Geology and Minerals, the 2020 Law on Environmental Protection; strengthen external information on the field of natural resources and environment, response to climate change as well as positive aspects of social life...

Mr. Dao Xuan Hung, Editor-in-Chief of the Natural Resources and Environment Magazine, said that in the last months of 2024, the Magazine will continue to closely follow the Ministry's policies, plans and tasks, focusing on publishing printed issues of the Magazine, updating and disseminating information on the electronic Magazine and specialized publications. Focus on directing the ordering of articles from reputable experts, scientists and scholars, ensuring the volume and quality of news/articles/photos and videos according to the tasks and ordering plan for 2024 of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

In addition, in order to improve the quality of the content and form of the Journal, the Editorial Board directs the departments of the Journal to develop a publishing plan for each year, quarter, month and each issue of the Journal. The content of each issue of the Journal closely follows the implementation of the Ministry's plans and tasks, informs about issues of public concern and practical life, and carries out the task of disseminating information about the Natural Resources and Environment sector in the period of the 4.0 industrial revolution. Continue to establish and build a team of collaborators who are prestigious scientists, managers, and experts to participate in writing articles for the Journal...

According to Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung, Director of the Center for Natural Resources and Environment Communication, regarding the tasks for the last months of 2024, the Center will continue to improve its operating apparatus, organize holidays and events on natural resources and environment such as: The 7th Natural Resources and Environment Journalism Award; Organize the award ceremony of the Contest: "Green solutions towards a circular economy, sustainable development"; "Plastic reduction ambassador"; Startup - Creating solutions for green growth and sustainable development...

At the meeting, representatives of the leaders of the functional Departments and Divisions of the Ministry shared the difficulties and highly appreciated the achievements of the three communication units of the Ministry, and affirmed that they will strengthen coordination and propose many solutions on finance, human resources, science and technology, digital transformation, international cooperation, etc. so that the units can better perform the policy communication tasks of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in the last months of 2024.

The Deputy Minister assessed that, although being financially autonomous units, in the face of difficulties and challenges, the units have made efforts, overcome difficulties, and successfully completed the policy communication tasks of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
