In a must-win situation, Thailand took the initiative to attack. With Sasiprapa Suksen (goalkeeper), Praeploy Huajaiphet, Natthamon Atkla, Darika Pianphayun and Areeya Saetien, coach Suraphong Plaiyuwong clearly showed his intention to strike first to find an early opening goal.

In the 6th minute, Saengrawee passed the ball to Jenjira Buppha to finish, but Thuy Linh made an excellent save. In the 10th minute, Nguyen Thanh Hang made a statement with a shot that deflected off Jiraprapa Nimrattanasingh, changing direction, putting Vietnam ahead. This was also the goal that helped coach Dinh Hoang's team relieve their psychological pressure, under the constant pressure from Thailand from the beginning of the match.
Although Thailand also found an equalizer in the 15th minute after a good set piece, the Vietnamese women's futsal team once again took the lead. Thanh Hang continued to shine when she finished the lightning-fast counterattack with a decisive shot, raising the score to 2-1 in the 20th minute.
Well deserved championship
Throughout the second half, the Vietnamese women's futsal team defended tenaciously. With a reasonable formation, good tracking and covering ability, Mr. Dinh Hoang's students effectively stopped Thailand's attacks. The host Thailand only found an equalizer in the last minute, but this result was not enough for the home team to win the championship.
The Vietnamese women's futsal team deservedly won the championship with 10 points after 4 matches, including victories over Taiwan (4-2), Indonesia (5-1), China (3-0) and a 2-2 draw with Thailand. With 14 goals after 4 matches, the Vietnamese women's futsal team showed commendable progress.
