On November 10, the HCM City art troupe had an exchange and performed an art program with soldiers of the 792nd Engineering Battalion, Con Dao District Military Command (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province).
The exchange program is within the framework of the Journey to the Source "Con Dao - Sacred Land of the Fatherland" in 2023 organized by the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee.

The program was attended by comrades: Nguyen Tho Truyen, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Bui Anh Tan, Vice President of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Ho Chi Minh City; Lieutenant Colonel Phan Van Chien, Political Commissar, Deputy of the Military Command of Con Dao District; Major Nguyen Van Luc, Political Commissar of the 792nd Engineering Battalion; composer Truong Huyen (Cao Duc Truong), former political prisoner of Con Dao; musician Tran Xuan Tien, revolutionary soldier participating in inner-city activities and 90 artists.
During the exchange, the artists brought many special and meaningful performances. Cai Luong artist Binh Tinh - Gold Medal of the 2022 National Professional Theater Festival, champion of Sao Noi Ngoi 2022, performed the excerpt " The Heroine Who Built the Country" . Binh Tinh's powerful voice and excellent performance received endless applause from the audience of soldiers.
Cai luong artist Vo Thanh Phe - Golden Bell of Traditional Opera in 2008, Gold Medal for Talented Cai Luong Stage Actor Tran Huu Trang in 2020, also brought a very good Cai Luong excerpt, Chau Long's Love Story . His sweet voice received a lot of love from the audience.

In particular, during the program, the Ho Chi Minh City Artists' Group presented 15 gifts to soldiers of the 792nd Engineering Battalion, Con Dao District Military Command.
Colonel - Artist Doan Hoai Trung, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Photography Association, presented a special photo titled Phoenix Brings Pearls to Con Dao to the Con Dao District Military Command and the Con Dao District Party Committee's Propaganda Department.

The journey to the source "Con Dao - Sacred land of the Fatherland" in 2023 takes place from November 9 to 11.
The journey is held annually, in addition to the noble meaning of expressing the spirit of drinking water, remembering its source, it is also an opportunity for artists to better understand the history of the nation's struggle to build and defend the country. In addition, the HCMC artists' group also organizes many performances, cultural and artistic exchanges, and presents gifts to officers and soldiers, families with meritorious services, and disadvantaged students.
