Overview of the working session between the high-level delegation of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany and EVNNPC.
Mr. Tran Minh Dung - Deputy General Director of EVNNPC - hosted the reception of the delegation.
Mr. Tran Minh Dung - Deputy General Director of EVNNPC - spoke at the meeting.
In his opening speech, Mr. Tran Minh Dung - Deputy General Director of EVNNPC - said: " For many years, EVNNPC has received financial support in the form of preferential loans from the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through the KfW bank.
With access to loans from the German Government, EVNNPC's power grid system has achieved the goal of increasing power supply capacity, improving power quality, enhancing power supply reliability and ensuring safety standards for the distribution grid, while creating a premise for the development of smart grids according to the roadmap to modernize Vietnam's power system.
The 110kV Yen Thang - Nam Dinh transformer station is one of the projects built from loans from the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through the German Reconstruction Bank KfW, one of the existing results of the cooperation between the two countries and the Vietnamese Electricity industry is the recipient and beneficiary.. ”
Ms. Bärbel Kofler - State Secretary of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany - spoke at the meeting.
The project's scale includes the construction of 3,076 km of new 110 kV double-circuit line with ACSR 300/39 conductors and Yen Thang 110kV substation with 2 transformers with a capacity of 40MVA. The installation of 01 T1-110/35/22kV-40MVA transformer has been completed in advance, energized and put into operation on June 4, 2023, providing 128 million kWh of electricity output to 44,472 electricity customers.
The project brings economic and technical efficiency in power grid operation; political, social and environmental efficiency such as: improving power quality, reducing power loss; ensuring stable power supply for household and production loads, especially stable power supply for large pumping stations serving agricultural production; attracting investors to develop production in neighboring industrial clusters, contributing to local socio-economic development, ensuring security and politics in the area...

In the face of the general trend of the world, the visible scarcity of power supply in the North, along with the responsibility to join hands with the Government to implement the National commitment on climate change at the COP 26 Global Climate Conference, green transformation is inevitable, EVNNPC is always aware of its role in the energy transition process, which is to improve the grid infrastructure to meet the diversity of power sources, especially the growth of renewable energy sources.
At the same time, investment in developing the distribution grid is identified as the core and top strategy, ensuring electricity supply to serve socio-economic development and the lives of people in the Northern provinces.
