PC Thai Binh: Promoting hotline electrical repair technology to catch up with the trend

One of those technologies is hotline electrical repair: cleaning insulation with high pressure water, construction without power outage, keeping up with the trend of the times, ensuring safe and stable power supply to serve customers.

PC Thai Binh 's Hotline Team consists of 8 members, performing tasks directly under the direction of the Deputy Director in charge of engineering. The Hotline Team has the function of constructing and repairing the medium voltage grid carrying electricity of the Electricity industry and customers according to the tasks assigned by the company; cleaning high voltage insulation up to 110kV with high pressure water...

The team is also responsible for planning and implementing annual, quarterly and monthly construction and repair works to ensure absolute safety for people and equipment; planning testing, maintenance and repair of tools, equipment and facilities serving the construction and repair of hotline electricity.

Previously, when Hotline technology was not applied to connect and replace a new transformer station to supply electricity to customers, PC Thai Binh had to cut off the power to the entire medium voltage line for at least 2 hours and in some cases had to cut off the power all day, resulting in a significant number of customers being affected.

This has a huge impact on people's lives and disrupts the production and business activities of enterprises. But now, with this new technology, connecting to a transformer station will not have to cut off power to any customers on the line.

In addition to the strong application of hotline technology, since the beginning of 2024, PC Thai Binh has deployed a series of breakthrough solutions such as: Managing the operation of power lines and transformer stations with unified tasks in all units; applying information technology to production and business, internal management; applying software to digitize business processes in the technical field...

Digitizing this process creates a management system in which all steps are performed in a digital environment. At the same time, it helps standardize documents, processes, optimize and automate the system, eliminating spatial and temporal distances. Individuals can perform work anytime, anywhere. In particular, the system automatically renders aggregated data to serve the requirements of grid operation management.

Software programs such as: Map-based grid management system (GIS), Technical management system (PMIS), Remote metering data collection system, Power outage information management system (OMS), safety management software (ECP)... are completed and updated regularly by the unit, contributing to improving the quality of technical management of power grid operations.

Notably, PC Thai Binh also promotes the application of high-tech equipment such as: Thermal cameras, flycams... to help detect existing defects on the power grid for timely handling.

With the widespread application of hotline electrical repair technology in production, PC Thai Binh has caught up with the trend of the times when new technology allows the company to perform construction without power outages, which is suitable for the "fast, strong, and accurate" pace of life of the new era. And in fact, hotline electrical repair technology contributes significantly to PC Thai Binh's "production and service business revenue" in 2023 of VND 38,913 billion (an increase of 18.13% compared to 2022).

By structuring the Hotline Team, the company has improved operational efficiency as well as affirmed the important role of the team in modernizing electrical repair work, contributing to improving the reliability of power supply and service quality; affirming the capacity of power supply (continuous safety) with the core role of the hotline team and with the spirit of initiative, seriousness, solidarity, and enthusiasm of all employees in the team.

By the end of 2023, PC Thai Binh completed 404 sessions of cleaning live insulation (112.2% of the assigned plan, up 53.03% over the same period); 553 sessions of hotline construction (110% of the assigned plan, up 23% over the same period).

In 2024, the number of Hotline electrical repair sessions, Hotline connections and Hotline porcelain cleaning is expected to double compared to 2023.

Also in 2024, PC Thai Binh strives to carry out work on the 22kV line such as: connecting lines, transformer stations; connecting and separating lines, replacing insulators and most other repair work are carried out via Hotline.

In fact, the application of Hotline electrical repair technology by PC Thai Binh contributes to the unit's digital transformation efforts, improving the reliability of power supply, reducing power outage time; truly "in tune with the trend of the times", serving the production and living needs of local people better and better.
