Not only possessing stunning natural scenery, a series of international-class "all-inclusive" entertainment and resort experiences are continuously invested in, contributing to making Phu Quoc the second most attractive island in the world, according to Travel + Leisure.
The breathtaking beauty of Bai Kem.
Recently, Phu Quoc was unexpectedly honored by Travel + Leisure in the top 2 position, among the 25 most favorite islands in the world in 2024, surpassing even tourist "hot spots" such as Bali, Indonesia and Phuket, Thailand, right after Maldives.
Talking about Phu Quoc, this magazine introduces the island city located off the west coast of Vietnam, as an emerging tourist destination and this is also the island's greatest strength. While some beaches in Southeast Asia are developing, Phu Quoc is still a rare place that retains its wildness and tranquility. But that does not mean Phu Quoc lacks the most luxurious hotels with high-class amenities.
Emerging destination with pristine nature
As Travel + Leisure or international media are introducing Phu Quoc, the island is a "precious gem" with a proud natural beauty that not every place has. Phu Quoc is the largest island in Vietnam (573km 2 ) with 22 large and small islands, possessing white sand beaches, surrounded by clear blue water covered in emerald. The most famous beaches here include Bai Kem, Bai Sao, Bai Truong, Bai Ong Lang, ... all possessing wild, poetic, peaceful beauty. Phu Quoc also owns a National Park, Phu Quoc Marine Reserve occupies more than 2/3 of the natural area, the core area of the Kien Giang World Biosphere Reserve.
The most attractive place for tourists is the south of the island with 12 different islands belonging to the An Thoi archipelago. Unlike most beaches in Phu Quoc, the south beach is especially clear and blue, characterized by smooth and creamy white sand. This place is also known for its rich marine resources, with colorful and shaped coral reefs, distributed throughout the islands. Along with that are fish and seagrass species, it is a suitable place for those who love diving, admiring the beauty of the ocean.

It is not difficult to explain why Phu Quoc always makes many destinations "jealous" when the island is constantly in the top of the most favorite natural destinations. At the same time as Travel + Leisure's announcement, the Korean data network Rankify Korea - the top 1 market sending visitors to Vietnam, recently also announced the top 10 foreign destinations most loved by Korean tourists. In which, Phu Quoc surprisingly ranked in the top 1 position, surpassing Nha Trang, Vietnam and Tokyo, Japan. Or before that, Phu Quoc was honored by the World Travel Awards, known as the Oscar of world tourism, as "The world's leading natural island destination".
Attraction does not come only from nature
Interviewed when the airline planned to increase flights to Phu Quoc in the second half of the year, Korean Air representative Kim Kye Yong, the airline's CEO in Vietnam, explained the appeal of the pearl island: "More than its pristine nature, Phu Quoc becomes attractive with many luxurious hotels, the world's longest three-wire cable car, attractive theme parks and beautiful European-style architectural works. Korean tourists love taking photos to post on social networks and this is the reason they love this place so much. In other words, Phu Quoc is a destination where you can both relax and enjoy many experiences at the same time."
In recent years, Phu Quoc has gradually become a true “resort paradise” with the arrival of a series of world-famous resort brands. Phu Quoc’s first reputation with the world media must include the 5-star JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay resort of Sun Group, managed by Marriott International. The resort has successfully conquered high-end customers from all over the world, one of which is Indian billionaire Kaabia Grewal, who chose this place as the venue for a lavish 7-day-and-night wedding.

From the success of Marriott International, the South Island also attracted a series of famous brands such as Accor, Rosewood Hotels, Hilton to launch "super products" of resorts at Bai Kem, Mui Ong Doi or Hoang Hon Town.
Oriented to become a "new destination of the world", Phu Quoc is also being invested to become more and more attractive and diverse in the eyes of tourists, with a series of "super products" that have been and are creating a boom for tourism on the Pearl Island. Typically, the Sunset Town - the entertainment complex with the largest total investment in Vietnam of up to 4 trillion VND, brings visitors fun experiences all day and night, 365 days a year. That is the Kissing Bridge - a symbolic work praised by CNN, the world's leading multimedia art show The Kiss of the Sea, the first night market by the sea in Vietnam - Vui Phet and the Vietnamese puppet theater A Oi. From here, visitors can also easily connect to Hon Thom Island via the world's longest 3-wire cable car over the sea, to the land of a million joys Sun World Hon Thom.

Currently, Phu Quoc is also the only island in Vietnam that exempts visas for tourists with a temporary stay of up to 30 days. According to experts' forecasts, Phu Quoc can welcome up to 14.6 million visitors in 2024, competing directly with major tourist centers in Asia such as Phuket and Bali. And the consecutive international titles and awards, especially Phu Quoc surpassing the world's two paradise islands in the prestigious Travel + Leisure vote, not only affirms the island's increasing appeal and position to international tourists, but also signals a vibrant future for Vietnam's sea and island tourism industry.
