List of inspection facilities qualified to inspect oversized and overweight vehicles

As of March 7, according to statistics from the Vietnam Register, there are currently 45 vehicle inspection facilities nationwide equipped with speed measuring devices to test brakes on test tracks for vehicles inspected outside the facility.

Speaking to reporters, Mr. Nguyen To An, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Register, said that from January 1, 2025, on-road brake efficiency testing for vehicles inspected outside the registration facility must use a vehicle speed measuring device.

This is a regulation in the National Technical Regulation on technical facilities and locations of motor vehicle inspection facilities, motorcycle and motorbike emission inspection facilities and the National Technical Regulation on automobiles, trailers, semi-trailers, four-wheeled motorized cargo vehicles, four-wheeled motorized passenger vehicles in technical safety and environmental protection inspection.

The Vietnam Register has issued a document requesting that inspection facilities immediately purchase sufficient inspection tools and equipment and conduct inspections outside the inspection facility according to the provisions of Circular 47/2024 when requested by people and businesses.

Up to now, according to statistics, nationwide, there have been 45 inspection facilities in 23 provinces and cities equipped with speed measuring devices, ready to serve the inspection work for vehicles inspected outside the inspection facility. The remaining units have also ordered and are in the process of purchasing this device, when the equipment is available, it will be ready to serve the people.

List of 45 inspection facilities equipped with tools and ready to inspect vehicles outside the inspection facility upon request from people and businesses is as follows:

1. In Quang Ninh, there are 5 inspection facilities, including: 1401D, 1402D, 1403D, 1404D, 1405D.
2. In Lao Cai there is one inspection facility: 2401D.
3. In Hanoi, there are 2 inspection facilities: 2904V and 2931D.
4. In Ninh Binh, there are 2 inspection facilities: 3501D and 3504D.
5. In Thanh Hoa, there are 3 inspection facilities: 3603D, 3606D and 3612D.
6. In Nghe An, there are 2 inspection facilities: 3709D and 3710D.
7. In Da Nang, there are 4 inspection facilities including: 4301S, 4302S, 4304D and 4305D.
8. In Ho Chi Minh City, there are 2 inspection facilities: 5005V and 5019D.
9. In Dong Nai, there are 2 inspection facilities: 6002S and 6005D.
10. In Tien Giang, there is 1 inspection facility including: 6302D.
11. In Kien Giang there is 1 inspection facility including: 6801S.
12. In Tay Ninh, there are 3 inspection facilities including: 7001S, 7002S, 7003D.
13. In Ba Ria - Vung Tau there is 1 inspection facility including: 7201S.
14. In Quang Binh, there is 1 inspection facility including: 7301S.
15. In Thua Thien - Hue, there is 1 inspection facility including: 7502S.
16. In Quang Ngai there is 1 inspection facility including: 7601S.
17. In Binh Dinh, there are 2 inspection facilities: 7701S, 7702S.
18. In Phu Yen there is 1 inspection facility including: 7801S.
19. In Gia Lai, there are 2 inspection facilities: 8102D, 8103D.
20. In Binh Thuan there is 1 inspection facility including: 8601S.
21. In Binh Phuoc, there is 1 inspection facility including: 9301S.
22. In Bac Giang there is 1 inspection facility including: 9807D.
