Dien Bien TV - Not just a few months but for nearly 3 years, dozens of families in resettlement area No. 1 of the Technical Infrastructure Framework Project (along the 60m road, Him Lam ward, Dien Bien Phu city) have had to buy their own electric wires from other residential group poles to their homes to use, even though the electric pole is right at their doorstep but there is no electricity! People here hope to have electricity every day.
The resettlement area No. 1, Him Lam ward, currently has nearly 20 families who are resettled under the Technical Infrastructure Project, 60m road, living here. Most of the families have built houses and lived here for 3 years. In the past 3 years, all families had to buy their own electric wires from electric poles in other residential groups, about 100-300m2 away, to use. Although there is an electrical infrastructure in front of the house, a modern electric pole is placed right at the door, but it is just an empty pole, there is no electricity to connect.
Mr. Ha Minh Loi, Resettlement Area No. 1, Him Lam Ward, Dien Bien Phu City, indignantly said: “Last December, we continued to have opinions, the head of the residential group came back and said that there would be electricity on January 20, 2025, but until now there is still no electricity. There is no electricity to the households, there is no electricity on the streets. We have to use electricity towed from afar, but now they do not allow it, we do not know what to do, we are in a very difficult situation.”

When building houses in the resettlement area, families were reassured because the construction unit had completed the underground electricity system, electric poles and lighting equipment. Everyone hoped that they would be notified every day about the electricity connection, according to the commitment that "the resettlement area will be invested synchronously, modernly and spaciously". However, that hope has not yet come true.
At meetings with voters and representatives of the People's Councils at two levels organized by the city, families requested the city to urgently direct functional units to inspect and connect electricity for people to use conveniently and safely. But up to now, dozens of households have not been connected to electricity from the electricity infrastructure right in front of their homes.
In order to find out the reason for the delay in supplying low-voltage electricity, the representative of the investor and the Management Board of Dien Bien Phu City Projects said that: This project has been received from the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, and because there are many technical staff supervising, the work progress is slow. Regarding the issue of supplying electricity, although there has been a request to the Electricity Department, due to technical requirements, the implementation has not been possible.
Admitting responsibility for the delay because of being busy with many things before Tet and not having time to carry out the work, the Investor, the Management Board of Dien Bien Phu City Projects, committed to urgently carry out the work, ensuring the supply of electricity from the project to the people in the shortest time.
