The report of Thai Nguyen province presented by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee at the working session stated that in the first 4 months of 2023, the province's economy grew quite well; the economic structure shifted towards increasing the proportion of industry - construction and services. The total product in the province in the first quarter of 2023 increased by 6.53% over the same period; the state budget revenue in the first 4 months of the year was 5,202 billion VND, reaching 26.6% compared to the estimate assigned by the Ministry of Finance.

Thai Nguyen province has implemented many solutions to remove and promote the real estate market in the area; strengthen discipline and administrative discipline in the performance of public duties of cadres, civil servants and public employees; focus on inspection and handling of violations. Along with the above results, the report pointed out difficulties and obstacles such as: The internal capacity of enterprises in the province has not fully recovered after the Covid-19 pandemic; export and import turnover have decreased compared to the same period last year and decreased in both domestic and foreign-invested enterprises; the quality of investment preparation work is still limited, leading to adjustments, prolonging project implementation time; compensation and site clearance support work faces many difficulties; the work of preparing documents and appraising and submitting them to competent authorities for granting mineral exploitation rights must go through many steps, affecting the implementation progress...
From the above difficulties and problems, the province proposed and recommended many contents for the Government working group to directly consider, resolve and report to the Prime Minister for timely support measures, especially issues related to production and business activities, import and export, public investment, infrastructure construction, investment resource support and other social security issues...

Assessing Thai Nguyen province as a locality with an important strategic position, with many potentials and advantages for development, General Phan Van Giang requested that Thai Nguyen province continue to thoroughly grasp the viewpoint that socio-economic development is the central task, Party building is the key, cultural development is the spiritual foundation, ensuring national defense and security is a constant priority.

Along with that, it is necessary to increase the attraction and effective use of investment resources from all economic sectors, focusing on investing in developing transport infrastructure, industrial zones and clusters; promote the development of services, trade and tourism in the connection with major economic centers of the region and the Hanoi capital region. Continue to restructure the agricultural sector towards concentrated, safe, organic commodity production, applying high technology, and adapting to climate change.
