| Ambassador Pham Viet Anh visits and works in Oss city |
On March 13, Ambassador Pham Viet Anh and his wife visited and worked in the city of Oss at the invitation of Mayor Wobine Buijs-Claudemans.
Oss is a small city in the East of the Netherlands with its main strength being traditional industrial and agricultural production with pastures and closed-loop livestock farms, from livestock farming to processing meat, eggs, milk and cheese products to serve the needs of local people.
What is impressive is the way the government plans space and organizes life, creating the most favorable living and working environment for people. Although the area is not large, Oss still has a nature reserve, a modern production area and an agricultural production area. All of these create a harmonious whole.
Ambassador Pham Viet Anh visited a farm inherited by a young couple from their father. They employ 55 workers and raise 350 dairy cows. The output of the products sold in the store is quite large. They set up a nursery for the children of the workers, taking care of the children with the farm's products, letting them come into contact with cows, straw, and grass from a young age.
In that way, they have passed on their love for their work, their love for their land and their homeland's landscape from generation to generation.
The mayor said that Oss's population is still growing, unlike many European rural areas where most young people go to find attractive jobs in the city. New settlements are still springing up in Oss.

Oss has signed a twinning agreement with Vietnam's An Giang province. However, recent cooperation and exchanges between the two localities have not been promoted, although two years of the pandemic have passed.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2021, Mayor Oss made a very beautiful and meaningful gesture: She sent the Vietnamese Ambassador a New Year greeting card with content written in Vietnamese.
Also receiving the Vietnamese Ambassador were a number of officials from the city of Oss and the province of North Brabant, some of whom have been following cooperation with Vietnam for decades. They all love Vietnam and want to promote cooperation.
