At the meeting, Vice President Nguyen Thi Anh Thi said that Da Nang is currently developing a project to establish a Free Trade Zone and is expected to submit it to the Prime Minister for approval in the near future. This is considered an important foundation for Da Nang to make great strides, contributing to affirming Vietnam's position in the international arena in the new era of development.
The Vice Chairman also said that the city plans to invest 500 billion VND to build an innovation space, which is expected to start construction this year. At the same time, Da Nang is focusing on amending the People's Council's resolutions related to attracting talent and investing in developing modern laboratories.
With the orientation of training cooperation according to international standards to provide high-quality human resources for the microchip and semiconductor industry, Da Nang aims to train at least 5,000 engineers by 2030, including 2,000 design engineers and 3,000 engineers and technicians in the fields of packaging and testing.
The city expressed its welcome and commitment to creating favorable conditions for agencies and organizations to carry out activities to introduce studying abroad in Japan, especially at prestigious public universities in Japan.

Thanking the city leaders for their welcome, Professor AOKI Toru expressed his desire to cooperate in research and application in the field of microchips and semiconductors in Vietnam.
He expected that the cooperation between Shizuoka University and Da Nang would open up many opportunities for high-tech development, creating a sustainable foundation for the development of the digital technology industry in both countries.
