At the opening ceremony, the art program with the theme "Sacred echo" consisted of 3 parts: Border flower; Cultural colors of Lang Son and Lang Son steps to the future, with the participation of nearly 200 professional actors and extras, elaborately staged, attracting a large number of people and tourists to enjoy.
Ms. Hoang Minh Thao, Vice Chairman of Lang Son City People's Committee emphasized: Lang Son City in particular, Lang Son Province in general is considered one of the typical cultural sub-regions of the Northeast region in particular and the whole country in general; with a system of historical and cultural relics, famous scenic spots such as: Tu Tran Thanh; Nhi - Tam Thanh scenic relic site, To Thi mountain, Mac Dynasty citadel, Ky Cung river flowing backwards. Along with unique traditional festivals such as: Ky Cung - Ta Phu festival, Tam Thanh - Tam Giao pagoda festival and then, sli melodies, customs, lifestyles, unique culinary culture... have created an overall, diverse, unique picture of the culture of Lang Son city - "Peach Blossom City"... Ethnic Culture Festival aims to preserve and promote ethnic cultural identity associated with tourism development, socio-economics; Promote and introduce to the people and tourists the unique features of Lang Son culture through intangible cultural values.
This is the second year that Lang Son city has organized the Ethnic Culture Festival. This year, the festival space has been expanded compared to 2023. Not only held in the Phai Loan lake area, Hoang Van Thu ward, many festival activities this year are also held in the Tien pagoda area, Chi Lang ward and Tam Thanh pagoda, Tam Thanh ward. In addition, the festival has many new and attractive activities, organized for the first time such as: culinary space "Xu Lang duck pho festival"; a series of tours connecting experiences at Phai Loan lake park, Ky Lua walking street, Nhi scenic spot, Tam Thanh - Mac Dynasty citadel, Tien pagoda scenic spot, street food areas.
During the festival, people and tourists will be able to visit and experience a variety of unique cultural activities such as: displaying and selling local specialties and OCOP products; participating in cultural spaces and folk games; festivals of Then singing clubs, Tinh lutes, folk songs; performing traditional ethnic costumes... Coming to the festival, people and tourists will be immersed in the unique cultural space of ethnic groups in Lang Son province in the impressive and unforgettable autumn weather of Lang Son that is rarely found anywhere else.
Lang Son City Ethnic Culture Festival is an opportunity for Lang Son province to honor and promote the unique cultural values of Lang Son to the people, tourists nationwide and international friends, contributing to promoting traditional cultural values associated with tourism development, creating momentum for the city's socio-economic development.
