On the evening of December 1, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province opened the cultural exchange program - connecting Vietnamese - Korean businesses "Thai Binh Homecoming Day" and the 2023 Northern Delta International Agricultural Fair.

Former President Truong Tan Sang; former Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong; Secretary of Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee Ngo Dong Hai; former President of South Korea Lee Myung Bak and many leaders of central and local departments and agencies attended the ceremony.

In his opening speech, Chairman of Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Than said that this is an event to honor the traditional cultural values ​​of Korea, Vietnam and Thai Binh province, and is an opportunity for exchange, learning, cooperation, investment promotion and strengthening solidarity between the two peoples.

This year's international fair has more than 220 domestic and foreign enterprises participating, including more than 100 enterprises from Korea.

The fair brings together the most prominent OCOP agricultural products of Thai Binh province along with hundreds of high-quality Vietnamese products. This event creates opportunities for experience and effective cooperation in trade, tourism, and investment promotion for international partners, friends, and people.

By organizing the series of events, Thai Binh province hopes to strengthen and further tighten the close relationship between the two countries, as well as create opportunities for organizations, businesses and people not only from Thai Binh but also from the Northern region to come and learn and exchange culture with Korean partners.

Mr. Than believes that through this event, Korean partners will understand more about the land and people of Thai Binh, and feel the aspirations of the people. From there, partners will choose Thai Binh as the top priority destination in their investment and business strategy.

Attending the cultural exchange program connecting Vietnamese and Korean businesses “Thai Binh Homecoming Day”, former Korean President Lee Myung Bak was moved to see Thai Binh province put so much effort into organizing such a big and meaningful event. Thai Binh has become a locality with rapid economic growth, achieving many proud results. He believes that Thai Binh will soon become one of the major economic centers of Vietnam, a potential investment destination for Korean businessmen in the near future.

Proud of the Vietnam - Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the great achievements the two countries have achieved in recent times, former President of the Republic of Korea Lee Myung Bak affirmed that culture is a bridge to enhance communication and understanding between the two countries; cooperation between businesses is the driving force for economic development of the two countries.

"We all wish to create more opportunities for exchange and cooperation, thereby strengthening the Vietnam - Korea friendship. Hopefully, this event will be a good opportunity for all Vietnamese people, especially Thai Binh people, to experience cultural, artistic and culinary activities, bringing them closer to the people and country of Korea," he said.
