The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires Vietnamese airlines to increase transport forces, supplement and improve the efficiency of aircraft fleet exploitation.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, it is forecasted that in 2025, the Vietnamese civil aviation market will continue to recover and develop. In February alone, the total market air freight recorded growth in passenger and cargo volumes compared to the same period last year.
Specifically, the total passenger market in February reached 7.3 million passengers, an increase of 12.4% over the same period in 2024; of which, international passengers increased by 22%, reaching 4.2 million passengers and domestic passengers increased by 1.6%, reaching 3.1 million passengers.
In the same period, the total commodity market reached 110.8 thousand tons, up 39% compared to 2024; of which, domestic goods reached 22.4 thousand tons, international goods reached 88.4 thousand tons, up 29.2% and 41.7% respectively.
However, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam stated that the aviation industry continues to face many difficulties due to the lack of aircraft in operation (affected by the engine recall order of the Pratt & Whitney factory, causing the A321NEO fleet to be stored and grounded), the supply of aircraft equipment is still very difficult and delayed, and fuel prices are high due to the impact of political fluctuations and conflicts in the world.
To meet the needs of development and improve the efficiency of air transport operations, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requires Vietnam Airlines Strengthening the transport force, supplementing and improving the efficiency of aircraft exploitation; continuing to optimize flight schedule building, operation, and flexible flight management, in accordance with the infrastructure and service capacity of each airport. Improving service quality, on-time flight rate, utilization rate and on-time use of landing and take-off times at airports.
Vietnamese airlines continue to expand and develop international air transport operations; especially promoting international operations to local airports with tourist destinations such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Hue, Phu Quoc, Van Don, Cat Bi, Da Lat; ensuring to meet the travel needs of passengers, especially during the peak periods of the April 30 - May 1 holidays, the peak summer season of 2025 and the National Day holiday of September 2.
Vietnamese airlines must comply with legal regulations on domestic air transport prices; strengthen control over ticket sales by ticket agents; ensure that ticket agents' prices comply with regulations. At the same time, strictly handle ticket agents who do not comply with regulations; coordinate with competent authorities to handle ticket agents who collect money outside of regulations if there is any complaint from passengers.
Vietnamese airlines improve the quality of receiving and handling feedback on complaints and questions from passengers related to the use of airline services. Actively coordinate with People's Committees of localities with airports and tourism and travel agencies in promoting the market and building aviation and tourism products.
At the same time, strengthen communication to passengers, provide information to guide passengers traveling by air, policies on services, airline fares and aviation industry operations.
