This is an important step in the energy saving campaign at industrial enterprises in Vietnam, under the IEEP Project.
At the opening ceremony, Ms. Pham Thi Nga - Technical Advisor of IEEP Project, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, welcomed the trainees from industrial enterprises and emphasized the need for energy saving in the context of many global challenges. Training and application of energy management systems according to ISO 50001 standards not only helps reduce production costs, improve competitiveness, enhance business efficiency, but also contributes to environmental protection and ensuring national energy security.
The two-day training course will equip managers and technical staff with the knowledge and skills needed to develop and implement energy management systems in enterprises representing the Project’s target sectors: Pulp and Paper, Food Processing, Rubber Processing, Beverages, Textiles, Chemicals and Fertilizers, Metallurgy and Steel, Plastics, Cement, and Aquaculture. The course content is based on the UNIDO Training Development Framework, covering topics such as energy system overview, energy planning and policy, energy data collection and analysis, and implementation planning. The course instructors are leading experts in the field of ISO management systems, ensuring the highest quality of training for participants.
The course attracted 65 students from the provinces: Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Quang Ninh, Ha Tinh, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, Thai Binh, etc. Through the training course, students will better understand the energy management system, including helping them grasp the components of the system according to ISO 50001 standards and clearly perceive the benefits that the system brings. In addition, it helps students improve their reporting and proposal skills, present the benefits of implementing the system to business leaders and interact effectively in the development plan. At the same time, implementing and continuously improving, providing the necessary knowledge to be able to start building and implementing an energy management system or making improvements in the process.
