On the afternoon of March 4, according to information from the People's Committee of Hai Phong City, the Vietnam Maritime Administration has just issued Decision 226/QD-CHHVN announcing the opening of Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Terminal (TC-HICT) to receive Vietnamese and foreign ships entering and exiting to load and unload goods and perform other related maritime services.
TC-HICT belongs to Lach Huyen Port area of Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Port Company Limited on Cat Hai Island, Cat Hai District with a total length of 750m (Wharf No. 1 is 375m long, Wharf No. 2 is 375m long).

TC-HICT can receive vessels with a capacity of up to 50,000 DWT fully loaded and 145,000 DWT reduced with suitable draft (vessels with a capacity of over 100,000 DWT to 132,900 DWT reduced have a maximum draft of 14.3m, vessels with a capacity of over 132,900 DWT to 145,000 DWT reduced have a maximum draft of 14m).
According to Decision 226/QD-CHHVN, Hai Phong Maritime Port Authority is responsible for specialized State management of maritime in the port area, TC-HICT wharf and is allowed to collect fees according to the law.
Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Port Company Limited is responsible for, based on the provisions of Decision 226/QD-CHHVN and relevant legal provisions, the wharf design documents, technical specifications of the ship according to the design, technical instructions approved by the competent authority to specifically notify the operating conditions and organize the operation of the wharf for the right purpose .
