BPO - According to information from Dong Xoai City Police, after a period of investigation and prosecution of the "property robbery" that occurred in Hamlet 1, Tien Hung Commune, Dong Xoai City, reported by residents earlier, on July 19, the Investigation Police Agency of Dong Xoai City Police issued an order to urgently detain 4 subjects temporarily residing in Tan Phu Town, Dong Phu District for investigation.
The four subjects include: Vo Minh Khang (born in 2006, permanent resident of Phuoc Long district, Bac Lieu province), Nguyen Van Nhai (born in 2002, permanent resident of Bac Lieu city, Bac Lieu province), Nguyen Cong Hau (born in 1995, permanent resident of Tam Nong district, Dong Thap province) and Nguyen Van Gam (born in 1994, permanent resident of Chau Thanh district, Tra Vinh province).
Subjects: Nguyen Van Gam, Nguyen Van Nhai, Vo Minh Khang, Nguyen Cong Hau
The subjects were detained for investigation and clarification of the act of "property robbery" that occurred at around 11:00 p.m. on July 16, 2023 in Hamlet 1, Tien Hung Commune, Dong Xoai City.
At the investigation agency, the subjects confessed: At around 9:00 p.m. on July 16, 2023, because they had no money to spend, the subjects invited each other to "go find phones to use". After that, the subjects used two motorbikes to circle around deserted roads in Tien Hung commune to find loopholes to steal property. At around 11:00 p.m. on the same day, they discovered Mr. L.D.D stopping his motorbike alone on an internal road in Dong Xoai 3 Industrial Park. Nguyen Van Gam approached Mr. D and used pepper spray to spray Mr. D's face, causing him to be stunned and run away. Nguyen Van Nhai immediately took Mr. D's Suzuki motorbike and escaped with his accomplices to the rented room. After that, the subjects took Mr. D's motorbike and hid it in an empty lot in Bau Ke quarter, Tan Phu town, Dong Phu district. On July 18, 2023, the subjects were discovered and arrested.
The case is being further investigated and clarified for handling according to the provisions of law.
