Insurance stocks surge, VN-Index increases more than 5 points

NDO - In the trading session on February 18, the demand suddenly increased sharply right from the opening, helping the VN-Index surpass the 1,280 point mark after more than 1 hour of trading. However, selling pressure then increased, causing the main indices to lower their heights. Notably, this session, the insurance stocks group simultaneously broke out, in which BVH hit the ceiling. At the end of the session, the VN-Index closed up 5.42 points to 1,278.14 points.


On the HoSE floor, the order matching value this session decreased sharply compared to the previous session, reaching more than 12,810.75 billion VND.

Foreign investors continued to net sell nearly 142 billion VND on the HoSE. On the buying side, VCI shares were bought the most with a value of more than 106 billion VND, followed by HPG (94 billion VND), FPT (43 billion VND)... On the contrary, MWG was sold the most (67 billion VND), followed by GMD (63 billion VND), VNM (42 billion VND)...

Today's session, VN30 stocks closed with 22 stocks increasing, 2 stocks remaining unchanged and 6 stocks decreasing.

Of which, BVH increased to the ceiling price of 57,300 VND/share, VRE increased by 2.43%, HPG increased by 1.53%, PLX increased by 1.31%.

Codes: BID, CTG, FPT, GAS, GVR, HDB, MBB, MWG, SAB, SSI, STB, TCB, TPB, VHM, VIB, VIC, VNM, VPB increased slightly.

Two codes: MSN, VCB stopped at reference.

On the other hand, LPB decreased by 1.74% to VND36,600/share. The remaining codes: ACB, BCM, SHB, SSB, VJC decreased slightly.

In terms of industry groups, the steel group closed in green, accounting for the majority, of which HMC increased by 2.08%, HPG increased by 1.53%, HSG increased by 1.47%, NKG increased by 1.46%, TLH increased slightly, DTL stopped at the reference. On the contrary, VCA decreased by 2.23%, SMC decreased slightly.

The securities group, except for VIX, which increased by 1.86% and had the highest liquidity on the floor (over 42.34 million units), had rather gloomy transactions, mostly with slight fluctuations. Besides the aforementioned SSI, BSI, HCM, VCI, VDS, VND increased slightly, ORS, TCI, TVB stopped at the reference. On the contrary, DSE decreased by 1.16%, AGR, APG, CTS, FTS, TVS decreased slightly.

Banking stocks closed up 0.25%. In addition to the codes: ACB, BID, CTG, HDB, LPB, MBB, SHB, SSB, STB, TCB, TPB, VCB, VPB, VIB in the VN30 group mentioned above, other codes such as: EIB, MSB increased slightly, OCB increased 1.31%, NAB decreased slightly.

The real estate stock group closed up 0.4%, in which the codes increased strongly such as: TDC increased to the ceiling price of 13,450 VND/share, VRC increased to the maximum limit of 13,900 VND/share, DIG increased by 2.39%, DXS increased by 2.81%, QCG increased by 2.45%, SGR increased by 3.6%, SJS increased by 3.04%, TDH increased by 3.13%...

The insurance group all broke out and closed up 4.65%. Besides BVH mentioned above, BIC increased by 3.03%, BMI increased by 3.81%, MIG increased by 4.44%, PGI increased by 1.55%.

In addition, industry groups such as: production materials increased by 1.21%, consumer goods and decoration increased by 1.29%, food, beverages and tobacco, utilities, distribution and retail of durable goods, telecommunications, and software increased slightly.

On the other hand, transportation decreased by 1.43%, while raw materials, energy, and health care decreased slightly.

* The Vietnamese stock market index maintained its upward momentum throughout the session today, with the VNXALL-Index closing up 7.23 points (+0.34%) to 2,134.64 points. Market liquidity was high, with a trading volume of 685.51 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND14,513.08 billion. In the entire market, 239 stocks increased in price, 78 stocks remained unchanged, and 154 stocks decreased in price.

* At the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index closed at 235.84 points, up 2.65 points (+1.14%). Liquidity reached a total of more than 71.83 million units transferred, with a corresponding trading value of more than VND1,096.63 billion. The entire floor had 108 stocks increasing, 54 stocks remaining unchanged and 77 stocks decreasing.

The HNX30 index closed up 8.11 points (+1.67%) to 492.67 points. Trading volume reached about 46.99 million units, equivalent to more than VND814,072 billion. The HNX30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 14 stocks increasing, 4 stocks remaining unchanged and 12 stocks decreasing.

On the UPCoM market, the UPCoM Index increased, closing at 99.51 points, up 0.11 points (+0.11%). Market liquidity, total trading volume reached more than 78.30 million shares, corresponding trading value reached more than VND954.89 billion. The UPCoM group of stocks ended the trading day with 180 stocks increasing, 104 stocks remaining unchanged and 113 stocks decreasing.

* At the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, the VN-Index closed up 5.42 points (+0.43%) at 1,278.14 points. Liquidity reached over 706.27 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND14,240.25 billion. The entire floor had 293 stocks increasing, 85 stocks remaining unchanged and 162 stocks decreasing.

The VN30 Index increased by 3.38 points (+0.25%) to 1,337.39 points. Liquidity reached more than 210.65 million units, equivalent to a trading value of VND5,972.74 billion. The VN30 group of stocks ended the trading day with 22 stocks increasing, 2 stocks remaining unchanged and 6 stocks decreasing.

The five stocks with the highest trading volume were VIX (over 42.34 million units), HPG (over 24.93 million units), VPB (over 18.11 million units), SHB (over 14.55 million units), DIG (over 14.08 million units).

The five stocks with the highest price increase were VNL (7.00%), VRC (6.92%), FCM (6.91%), PNC (6.91%), BVH (6.90%).

The five stocks with the biggest price declines were KPF (-6.63%), SPM (-5.98%), VSI (-5.22%), GMH (-4.94%), BMC (-4.65%).
