'Golden wushu girl' Thuy Hien cried when listening to the song composed by her ex-husband Tu Dua

Singer Tung Duong has just released the MV Canh chim Phuong Hoang . At the press conference, when asked: Whose idea was it for Thuy Hien - the ex-wife of musician Mars Anh Tu - to appear in the MV? Both Tung Duong and Mars Anh Tu "competed" to claim the idea of inviting the "golden wushu girl" as theirs.

Tung Duong said, when he heard the song " Phoenix Wings" by musician Mars Anh Tu, he immediately thought he had to invite Thuy Hien.

"Thuy Hien is a woman who has devoted her entire youth to sports. She became the world champion in wushu at the age of 14, so she is definitely a phoenix in this field. My new MV honors women, of course Thuy Hien must be included," said Tung Duong.

Meanwhile, Tu Dua said that when discussing the MV filming plan with Tung Duong, they made a list of influential women with outstanding achievements in many fields. "Tung Duong said he wanted to invite Thuy Hien. I really admire Thuy Hien so there was no reason not to invite her," Mars Anh Tu shared.

Present at the press conference, Thuy Hien humorously said: "It doesn't matter who invited me at this moment. What matters is that when I listened to Tu's song, I cried. But now I dare to say that I cried because if I say it now, I'm afraid of being misunderstood because I was moved by Tu and not the song."

Thuy Hien said that it has been a long time since she heard a song that moved her so much.

"I am the person involved in the song. Anh Tu used to be my ex-husband. My daughter is now following in her father's footsteps. But I am not the type of person who listens to a lot of music and studies songs. I like any song that I find suitable, even if I don't remember the name or the author.

Listening to the song "Phoenix Wings" , I see a part of my life in it. I think everyone is like that, especially women who have experienced storms in life, have gotten married and had children, have had a brilliant struggle and also times of deep sadness. At the launch of Tung Duong's MV today, I want to tell many ups and downs of my life, but I am not the main character, I would like to share at a later time", Thuy Hien expressed.

In 1993, Nguyen Thuy Hien brought home the first World Wushu Championship Gold Medal for Vietnam when she was only 14 years old.

From then until her retirement in 2005, Thuy Hien stood on the highest podium many times, received many medals, and became a wushu legend.

Despite achieving many glories in her career, Thuy Hien's personal life has experienced many ups and downs: "Born into a family where my parents were divorced, I always thought I would try to have a happy family. However, in the end, I couldn't do it" - she confided.

In 2001, after returning from training in China, Thuy Hien met musician Anh Tu (Watermelon Band) and quickly fell in love at first sight and got married. Considered the most famous couple at that time, Thuy Hien's marriage only lasted nearly 5 years.

After breaking up with musician Anh Tu, Thuy Hien fell into a crisis for a while, avoiding contact with the press and almost not appearing in the media. In 2019, Thuy Hien decided to get married for the second time with her childhood best friend. However, this marriage did not last a lifetime.

At the age of 45, Thuy Hien is still young and beautiful, giving much love and care to her children.

Musician Tu Dua used to be a member of the Watermelon group. In 2022, he decided to change his stage name to Mars Anh Tu, behind a series of hit hits Duyen Minh Lo (Huong Tram), Nam Lai Tay Anh (Tuan Hung)... He is currently in his third marriage with singer Lam Trang.
