Vietnam is standing at a historical starting point - a new era - an era of national growth.

As General Secretary To Lam affirmed, the era of rising up implies creating a strong, decisive, resolute, positive, effortful, inner-strength, and confident movement to overcome challenges, surpass oneself, realize aspirations, reach goals, and achieve great achievements.

The destination of the rising era is a rich people, a strong country, a socialist society, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers. The growth path is linked to environmental sustainability and social sustainability, achieving the goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.

The top priority in the new era is to successfully implement the strategic goals by 2030, Vietnam will become a developing country with modern industry and high average income; by 2045 it will become a developed socialist country with high income; strongly arouse national spirit, spirit of self-reliance, self-confidence, self-reliance, national pride, and aspiration for national development; closely combine national strength with the strength of the times.

The moment that begins the new era is the 14th National Party Congress, from now on, all Vietnamese people, hundreds of millions of people as one, under the leadership of the Party, will unite, join forces, make the most of opportunities and advantages, push back risks and challenges, and bring the country to comprehensive and strong development, breakthrough and take off. This moment, as General Secretary To Lam concluded, "converges" the total advantages and strengths to bring the country into the era following the era of independence, freedom, building socialism and the era of Renovation.

From the perspective of international scholars, Vietnam is also facing a turning point with its foundation, potential, position and international prestige as the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirmed - "never before". But to firmly step on the new path, the achievements are the "necessary condition", we are facing many challenges, in the context of the world "turning a new page", also with changes of an epochal nature and unpredictable developments.

Faced with the challenges of the times, change or fall behind - reform is inevitable, because if not, sooner or later we will encounter problems in the path of development - not only low economic efficiency, but also the long-term and sustainable existence of the nation.

Speaking at an event in early 2025, General Secretary To Lam reminded: "Countries do not wait for us and we cannot wait for us slowly." Therefore, this is the starting point for "long-term" calculations on strategic orientation.

Towards the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding, the message "Era of Rising" marks Vietnam's determination to transition to a new, stronger development cycle. However, the "reward" is only for those who aspire to become rich and prosperous and are determined to "transform".
