Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism has just announced a series of entertainment activities to serve residents and tourists on the occasion of National Day, September 2.

The photo exhibition will be open from August 17 to September 6 at the Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and Nguyen Hue Street (from Ngo Duc Ke Street to Ton Duc Thang Street); Dong Khoi Street (in front of the Department of Culture and Sports, opposite Chi Lang Park).

Sports performance activities

From 6pm to 7:15pm on September 2nd, outdoor sports activities will take place at the Nguyen Hue pedestrian area (from Ton That Thiep to Huynh Thuc Khang streets). There will be lion and dragon dance performances, drum performances, and martial arts performances of vovinam, wushu, traditional martial arts, and taewondo.

From 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., there will be an art program to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; and the 78th anniversary of the Saigon Uprising to seize power.

Fireworks art

Also on September 2, at the beginning of the Saigon River tunnel, Thu Duc City and Dam Sen Cultural Park will hold an artistic fireworks display.

The fireworks display will last for 15 minutes, from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. at two locations at the same time. The Saigon River Tunnel will display high-altitude fireworks, while Dam Sen Cultural Park will display low-altitude fireworks.

Ballooning activity

From September 2-3, the hot air balloon release will take place in the area of ​​Nguyen Thien Thanh Street (behind An Khanh Temple, from N12 Street to Thu Thiem Parish Church).

The activities will take place from 6am to 9am; 4:30pm to 6:30pm on both days. In addition, the Hot Air Balloon Lantern Night will be held from 7pm to 9pm on September 2.
