What to expect from SpaceSpeakers' album featuring many great artists in the rap/hip hop world?

According to SpaceSpeakers, the Space Jam album will be released with 10 songs. All songs were composed entirely new within 48 hours, when the artists participated in the "composition camp" at Space Jam season 3 in Da Lat. Upon returning to Ho Chi Minh City, SpaceSpeakers Label started to produce all the songs to compile into the album Space Jam Volume 01.

To mark the largest album in the history of Vietnamese rap/hip hop, SpaceSpeakers Label held an album launch event on the evening of May 8 in Ho Chi Minh City. Here, the artists will perform all 10 songs from the album Space Jam Vol 01.

Space Jam Volume 01

Previously, SpaceSpeakers Label organized Space Jam #3 in Da Lat, gathering 32 artists from SpaceSpeakers Group, SpaceSpeakers Label and guests in the rap/hip hop community. Compared to the previous 2 seasons, Space Jam #3 is a complete version. The artists were randomly divided into 5 creative camps. Touliver, Binz, and violinist Thien Minh were present in a special camp called Dap Diu to support the artists with ideas, musicians and equipment. SpaceSpeakers said that the 5 creative camps were divided according to the idea of ​​the five elements: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth. Among the guest artists of Space Jam #3, there are many big and famous names in the industry such as Suboi, Hoang Ton, Kay Tran, Rtee, 2pillz, Wokeup, Machiot, CHICHA22. Besides, the appearance of "mutants" such as Thai Son beatbox, Trung Bao beatbox and violinist Thien Minh helps this SpaceSpeakers Label composition camp have more interesting colors.

At Space Jam, teams compose and produce songs in 48 hours. Each team has at least 2 producers, while the rest are artists who compose and perform. After 2 days, each camp produces at least 2 products. Artists produce in a dizzying time frame and even complete the mastering step.

“It is a rare occasion for the brothers to leave the studio to make music in a mountainous and forest setting, with Tuyen Lam Lake in front of them. The atmosphere of Space Jam encourages the brothers to make music enthusiastically. Besides eating and sleeping, we only focus on making music. I have many talented colleagues around me, so everything is completed very quickly,” producer Machiot, one of the guests, shared. Up to now, Space Jam is a rare creative camp that exists and leaves its mark on the Vietnamese music market. We believe that every year, Space Jam becomes an ideal destination for artists as well as audiences with the purpose of “going to jam and bringing home music”.
