The "News" campaign will be held from September to November 2023, including the main activities: Anti Fake News content creation contest on TikTok platform, Tinternet Campaign summary program and a series of media articles spreading the program's message, with the goal of providing basic information and skills for Internet users to recognize, detect and prevent fake news and toxic information online.
The program Tinternet - Raising awareness of internet users in Vietnam is part of the "Tin" Campaign organized at the Academy of Journalism and Communication.
Speaking at the Program, Mr. Le Quang Tu Do - Director of the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information (Ministry of Information and Communications) shared that this is the first time the Department has organized activities focused on the internet on a hot topic: fake news.
"When we first started, we were very nervous because we didn't know how the online community would receive it. And fortunately, right after the campaign started, we received a very positive response from the online community, hot tiktokers, famous content creators and press agencies," said Mr. Le Quang Tu Do.

According to Mr. Le Quang Tu Do, after nearly 1 month of launching the communication campaign, the Anti Fake News Content Creation Contest within the framework of the Campaign has attracted more than 50 entries, earning more than 130 million views.
In addition to the contest videos, there were more than 100 videos reporting on the program, with nearly 280 million views. In particular, the Anti Fake News message was responded to by many content creators through hashtagging on posts. By November 20, there were nearly 1.5 million videos with the Anti Fake News hashtag on the TikTok platform, reaching more than 5 billion views.

"When organizing the "Believe" Campaign, the most important goal is to raise public awareness about preventing fake news in cyberspace. And the most important meaning is that more and more young people have the skills to prevent fake news to protect themselves, their loved ones and their community - to clean up cyberspace", Mr. Le Quang Tu Do emphasized.
Also within the framework of the Internet Program - Raising awareness of Internet users in Vietnam, the Award Ceremony of the "Anti Fake News" Contest took place, including 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 1 Third Prize and other secondary prizes with a total prize value of up to 150,000,000 VND including cash and gifts from the Organizing Committee.
