At least 27 people were killed, mostly children, when a fire broke out at a crowded amusement park in India at the weekend.
Authorities in Rajkot, western India's Gujarat state, have confirmed that at least 27 people, "mostly children," were killed in a fire at the TRP Game Zone amusement park in the city on May 25. There were about 300 people at the park, many of them families with young children, on a summer weekend. The fire has been brought under control and the death toll could rise as search and rescue efforts continue. Photo: AFP.
