Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Secretary of the Party Committee of Thuan Hoa commune confirmed that the above incident occurred in the area on the afternoon of November 6.

According to Mr. Hung, the entire span connecting the two pillars of Lung Cang bridge across the stream completely collapsed.

It is known that Lung Cang bridge construction started on July 7. It is expected that the bridge will be completed after 4 months of construction.

The cost to build the bridge is about more than 3 billion VND, called for and mobilized by the district from organizations and individuals and partly from Vi Xuyen district.

Currently, the authorities have blocked off the scene and are investigating to determine the cause of the incident.
