6 generals and officials of the Ministry of National Defense have resigned from their leadership positions and are awaiting retirement.

On February 17, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh signed decisions on six officials of the Ministry of National Defense to cease their leadership positions, pending retirement.

Specifically, Major General Bui To Viet ceased to hold the position of Deputy Political Commissar of the Air Defense - Air Force Service, Ministry of National Defense, and retired from work from May 1 to retire from May 1, 2026.

Rear Admiral Phan Tuan Hung ceased his position as Deputy Commander of the Navy, Ministry of National Defense, and retired from work on March 1 to retire from July 1.

Major General Dang Van Hung ceased his position as Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 7, Ministry of National Defense, and retired from work on March 1 to retire from September 1.

Lieutenant General Tran Duy Giang ceased his position as Chief of the General Department of Logistics, Ministry of National Defense, and retired from work from March 1 to July 1.

Major General Le Van Phuc ceased his position as Deputy Commander of the Border Guard, Ministry of National Defense, and retired from work from May 1 to January 1, 2026.

Major General Hoang Van Huu ceased his position as Deputy Commander of Military Region 1, Ministry of National Defense, and retired from work from March 1. He will continue to serve as a National Assembly delegate until the end of his term, when he will retire according to regulations.

While awaiting retirement, the above generals and officers will retain their current benefits according to current regulations.

On the morning of November 28, with 458/459 delegates present in favor, the National Assembly passed the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Officers of the Vietnam People's Army.
