TPO - The first kilometers of the Component 3 project of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway have been paved at the end of the route, close to the roundabout of National Highway 56 (Ba Ria City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province). It is expected to open to traffic on April 30, 2025.
While the first kilometers of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway's component 3 project have been paved, the progress of component 1 and component 2 projects is currently behind schedule due to land acquisition and lack of land for leveling.
Specifically, at the construction site, component project 2 (section through Long Thanh district, Dong Nai), the construction is spread out in many locations, including major intersections. According to the report from Project Management Board 85 (investor), the current basic difficulty of this section is the remaining land and lack of fill, plus the rainy season weather also affects the progress. Some areas where technical infrastructure has not been relocated also greatly affects the project.
Component project 2 has two main construction packages, No. 9 and No. 10. Here, workers are focusing on road surface construction, foundation construction, bridge piers, bridge girders, bridge deck slabs, etc.
As for component project 1, the Dong Nai Traffic Construction Project Management Board (investor) said that the most difficult part of section 1 is the patchy, leopard-skin surface, making it difficult to carry out construction in many sections. There are some areas with land allocated for about 200m long but there is no road for construction, so the focus is only on clearing and using it as a girder casting yard, such as package 18.
Package 21 alone has more land available, contractors are constructing roadbeds, bridges, culverts, and drainage systems.
